Susa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Justice moves out of range and avoids them all easily.#CL2# Justice gets tackled into the cage by Susa. Susa maintains the clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Justice. Susa effectively controlling the action here. Susa jumps guard but Justice stands there with Susa around his waist. Susa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee is keeping an eye on Justice - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

#T1# Justice slowing the pace effectively. Susa wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Justice has him pressed against the cage. Marko Susa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Susa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. It looked like Justice was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. No luck for Susa with that takedown attempt. Clifton Justice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marko Susa. Susa shoots in for a takedown but Justice shows good takedown defense. Susa stuffs the takedown attempt from Justice. Justice gets slowly back to his feet. #T2# Susa stuffs the takedown.#TD2# Susa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Justice did well to prevent Susa getting side control. Susa is nestled in close to Justice, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The fighters land in half guard but Justice regains guard immediately. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Justice doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Justice is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Susa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Justice. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Justice is on top in guard.

#TD2# Susa is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Slater's half guard.#ES# Slater kicks off Susa and gets to his feet. Susa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Slater pinned against the cage. Slater gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #CL2# Susa closes the distance and clinches.#T1# Susa holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Susa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Slater avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Susa displaying some good clinch control by pressing Slater up against the cage. Slater is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Susa is defending well.#TD# Slater pulls guard effortlessly. Slater is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Slater really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Susa makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Susa. Slater postures up.

Susa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slater. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Slater has a closed guard, preventing Susa from standing up. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#CL2# Susa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Slater, pushing him back against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hipolito Slater. I think Slater has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
