Alaba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with st. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Horrible takedown attempt by Alaba or perhaps it was just good defense by st, which made it look bad. st keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. st half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. ge st has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Alaba. Alaba tries to score a power double leg takedown but st sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alaba somewhat. Alaba fires out a quick counter leg kick but Young just manages to avoid it.#TD2# Young bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.#SUB2# Young working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Young tries to move into full mount but can't pass Alaba's legs. Young wants to take a breather but Alaba manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Young. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Young distracts Alaba with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Alaba knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Young on the ground.#T1##SU2# Young stands up and waves to Alaba to follow him. #TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Alaba enables Young to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Alaba manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Young looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Young postures up.

#R1# Mentally connects with a right hand. Alaba shakes it off. Mentally scores with a jab to the jaw. Alaba looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mentally is fending him off so far but Alaba persists. Nope, Mentally circles away and we're back to standing. Alaba takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.#KD2# Mentally feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Alaba sprawling to the canvas! Alaba rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mentally finish him?!
#CUT2# It looks like David Alaba has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Alaba walks straight into a right hand from Mentally - that's dropped him! Mentally jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Alaba from any more punishment! Alaba complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
