The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Too circles away from the clinch attempt.
Booysen shoots in and drives through. Too sprawls well. Good leg kick by Booysen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Booysen dives in for a single leg takedown but Too sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Too dives in and scores a takedown into Booysen's guard. Too stands up over Booysen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Booysen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Too. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Too is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Booysen wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Booysen being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Too stands up over Booysen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Too sitting in guard, not really doing much. Booysen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Too scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Too showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Too with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Too is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Booysen controls Too momentarily but Too frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Booysen throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Booysen has momentary wrist control but Too slips an elbow through the middle. Too sitting in guard here, content to control. Booysen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Too postures up and lands a big shot to Booysen's brow. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Too lands a couple of decent looking shots. Too with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Too connects with a couple of short punches. Too postures up and lands a big shot to Booysen's brow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Too scoring with some ground and pound. Too content to stall in guard here. Too lands a couple of decent looking shots. Too content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Too working some strikes from top position. Booysen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Too controls the pace. Too is working Booysen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Too makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Booysen is rocked! Too lands a couple of decent looking shots. Booysen is still in real trouble! Can Too finish him? Booysen looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Too is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Too postures up and lands a big shot to Booysen's brow. Too arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Booysen's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
