#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for McGregor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McGregor looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Whittaker scores with a one two! McGregor had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Whittaker throws a body kick that misses. Whittaker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McGregor takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Whittaker swats away the attempt to clinch by McGregor. Whittaker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. McGregor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Whittaker lands with a shot to the body. Whittaker throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
#ROC#McGregor is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Whittaker changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. McGregor is still on wobbly legs! Can Whittaker finish him? Whittaker lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

Conor McGregor was interviewed post fight and said 'I did not win today, but i'll come back stronger. I just want to thank everybody that came here today, it means a lot to me and it shows me that my work is being appreciated by you guys. I'm sorry i lost today, but don't despair because this isn't the end of me and i will come back much stronger'. |
