We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wood trying to control but Douglas is working from the bottom. Douglas being controlled here, momentarily. Douglas trying to remain calm as Wood controls from the top position. Wood is looking to take a break and control but Douglas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Douglas is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wood throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Douglas to regain full guard. Douglas keeping full guard, as Wood tries to pass. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wood might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Douglas haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.#T1# Wood controls from within his opponent's guard. Wood tries to free his leg and advance position but Douglas is retaining full guard. Wood advances to half guard. Wood has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Douglas, as that shot connected.

I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Douglas managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Wood.

And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Wood creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Douglas sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Douglas is not content to let Wood control the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Daxton Wood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!#R3# Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wood lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Douglas has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Douglas and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Douglas throwing a counter right hand but Wood manages to avoid it. Douglas misses with the combination.
