Berry has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Berry prevents MacBurgh from getting back to his feet. Berry wants to stand but MacBurgh has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2# MacBurgh is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Berry rolls with it to try and escape but MacBurgh cranks on the arm and Berry is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). John MacBurgh! The defeated Ahmad Berry had this to say: 'I will be back. Don't worry.'. |
