#R1# Bruneau defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Taylor. Bruneau misses with an uppercut. Bruneau fails with a takedown attempt. Taylor fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bruneau has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Taylor tries to clinch but Bruneau moves out of range. Bruneau is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Bruneau swats away the attempt to clinch by Taylor. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bruneau fails with the takedown. Taylor fails with the takedown. And Bruneau tries to counter it with a takedown but Taylor pushes his down on his head and steps out.#T1# A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Taylor. Bruneau drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Taylor defends it well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Taylor fails to land the takedown. Bruneau throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Taylor appears to be looking for a counter takedown. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Taylor tries to get out of the position. Bruneau winds up and cracks Taylor with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Taylor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bruneau scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Bruneau takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Taylor is trying to get back to full guard. Taylor is staying active underneath Bruneau, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ground and pound from Bruneau. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bruneau wants to lay and pray for a moment but Taylor keeps working. #T3# The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bruneau lands a nice short elbow. Taylor tries to roll over but Bruneau keeps him under control.#SUB2# Bruneau is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Clovis Bruneau dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!#R2# Bruneau keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Taylor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bruneau moves away. Bruneau avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Taylor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bruneau swivels and escapes. Bruneau feints the counter takedown. Bruneau has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Taylor throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Bruneau tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Bruneau stuffs the takedown attempt from Taylor. Taylor gets slowly back to his feet. Oh Taylor is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bruneau scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bruneau lands a big elbow - Taylor is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Bruneau!
