and Wells counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Kasai to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Wells!

Wells dives in looking to finish as Thibodeaux flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Wells's strikes! Wells is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Thibodeaux's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Thibodeaux was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
