#R1##CL# Dean tries to keep at a distance but Jelta has taken the fight into the clinch. Dean looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!#BC# Jelta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dean tries to clinch and Jelta counters with a nice uppercut. #CL# Jelta closes the distance and clinches.#TD# Jelta has picked Dean up - he's going for a ride! Jelta dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Jelta is looking to advance position but Dean won't allow it. Jelta perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Jelta frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jelta unloads with some shots from mount but Dean bucks and avoids them well.
Dean really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jelta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jelta moves to the back. Jelta has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#T1##SUB# Jelta is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Dean is defending well though. Jelta let's go of the attempt for now. Jelta keeps control of the position easily here as Dean tries to buck him off.
Jelta lands a shot to the body. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jelta lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Dean.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Jelta controlling the positon.#T2# Jelta is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Jelta throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Jelta working for a choke but Dean is defending well. #SUB# Jelta is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
#SUB# Jelta has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Dean is in real trouble here. Jelta gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Dean is tapping out! Jelta wins by rear naked choke!

#R1# Velez circles away from the clinch attempt.
#CL# Dean clinches up with Velez and pushes him back against the cage. Velez's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!#BC# Dean's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dean rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Velez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dean fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Velez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Velez. Velez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
#CL# Velez gets tackled into the cage by Dean. Dean maintains the clinch. #BC# Dean's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Velez takes a shot right to the bread basket. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dean tries to clinch but Velez is having none of it. Din Dean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#T1# Velez throws a right and a left that Dean avoids nicely. Velez looks winded! Velez shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Dean fails in his attempt to clinch. Dean doesn't manage to clinch there - Velez circles away.
As Dean backs off Velez throws a huge counter combo but Dean manages to avoid it all. Velez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Dean works the jab nicely. Dean tries to clinch but Velez moves out of range. Dean jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Velez steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Dean. Dean tries to clinch up but Velez circles away and keeps his distance. Velez fails with a takedown attempt. Velez tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.#T2# Dean misses the shot to the body. Velez tries to counter with a clinch but Dean shakes him off and moves away. Velez shoots in but Dean avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dean with the inside leg kick. Velez throws a combination that misses #CL# and Dean counters by clinching up. Good body shot from Dean.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#BC# Dean breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dean looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.#CL# Dean moves into the clinch.#BC# Dean manages to break the clinch.
Dean dips to his left and cracks Velez with an uppercut! A nice combination there by Dean.
#T3# Velez stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dean. A shot to the liver by Dean. Beautiful body shot. Dean connects with a single shot there.#ROC#Velez is rocked! Dean is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Velez drops his hands for a split second and Dean immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Velez face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Dean follows up with a right hand that knocks Velez into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Din Dean! As Din Dean got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Concieve, believe, achieve suckers.'. Milez Velez was interviewed post fight and said 'This is all in God's plan. Gotta bounce back stronger and better as ever.'. |

Curry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dean.
Dean with a body punch. A glancing blow. Curry lands with a shot to the body. #CL# Dean has managed to clinch.
#BC# Dean pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.#CL# Dean closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dean stops a takedown attempt from Curry.
Curry blocks a body shot from Dean. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dean avoids the elbow strike from Curry, against the cage.
#BC# Dean's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dean getting the better of the striking in that exchange.#T1##CL# Dean closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. #BC2# Curry escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Curry looks to land a right hand but Dean moved out of range. Nice body punch from Dean. Good shot there by Dean. Dean lands with a right that hurts Curry. Curry looks to clinch but Dean throws a short knee that drops Curry. This one is all over!
