#R1# Mahoo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Short appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Jerry Short seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mahoo scores with a sloppy right hand. Short should have avoided that one. #TD2# Mahoo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.#SUB2# Mahoo tries for a kimura but Short is defending well. Mahoo trying to control the position but Short is working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Mahoo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Short has escaped the position, nice work there. Mahoo throwing strikes but missing, from side control. #T1# Short is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mahoo off and has taken his back! Mahoo is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Short off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Mahoo is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Mahoo keeps trying to improve his position. Short has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.#SUB# Short is working for a rear naked choke. Mahoo is not defending it well and Short has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Mahoo refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Mahoo's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

#R1# Mahoo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kashi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kashi lands with a cross. Mahoo with a poor takedown enabling Kashi to counter with a crisp jab. A swing and a miss from Kashi. Mahoo lands with a right hand. Mahoo with a lazy takedown attempt and Kashi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Couscous Mahoo. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mahoo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
#TD# Kashi tries to sprawl but Mahoo drives through with a takedown into half guard.#T1# Mahoo works his way into side control. Kashi is looking for a sweep. Mahoo looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kashi is avoiding damage well.
#SUB# Mahoo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kashi, who protects the arm well. Mahoo trying to control the position but Kashi is working away. #SUB# Mahoo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kashi is trying to improve his position.#T2##SUB# Mahoo has hold of Kashi's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kashi tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Mahoo cranks the arm and Kashi screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kashi, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

#R1# Lamez misses with a straight left. Mahoo misses with a looping left. Lamez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lamez looks to score with a jab to the body but Mahoo is just out of range. Mahoo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lamez manages to avoid it. Couscous Mahoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mahoo swings widly with a right hand
and Lamez counters with a right hand to the body. Mahoo misses with an uppercut
and Lamez counters with a left to the body. Lamez looks to score with a jab to the body but Mahoo is just out of range. Lamez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lamez checks the leg kick. Lamez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mahoo. Lamez throws a body punch but Mahoo moves out of range. Lamez defending well as Mahoo loads up on a big left hand. Lamez misses with a body shot.

#T1# Mahoo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. #SUB# Mahoo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mahoo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lamez is keeping the position for now. Mahoo trying to control the position from guard on top but Lamez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lamez preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. #SUB# Mahoo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. #SUB2# Mahoo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lamez is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. #T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.#SUB2# Lamez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mahoo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mahoo looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Mahoo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mahoo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mahoo wants to control from the top but Lamez keeps moving. Mahoo works a leg free and moves into half guard. #T3##SUB# Mahoo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Mahoo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lamez wants to control but Mahoo is keeping busy and won't allow it. #SUB# Mahoo is working for a submission of some sort.
#T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.#SUB# Lamez is defending against the submission attempts here by Mahoo.

#R1# Mahoo throws out a loose jab but Luciano uses good head movement to avoid it. Mahoo misses with a right hand and Luciano counters with a lovely straight right hand! Mahoo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Luciano connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mahoo scrambles back to his feet. Mahoo shoots in for a takedown but Luciano shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mahoo closes the distance and clinches up with Luciano, looking for a takedown. Mahoo pushes Luciano against the cage but Luciano circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mahoo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Mahoo throws a lazy uppercut
and Luciano counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#TD2# Mahoo looking to score a takedown here. Luciano is defending well but Mahoo drives through and ends up in Luciano's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Luciano is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mahoo preventing the sweep. Luciano controls Mahoo momentarily but Mahoo frees himself. Mahoo passes into half guard. #T1# Mahoo prevents Luciano from improving his position. Mahoo frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Luciano blocking the ground and pound. Mahoo sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!#SUB2# Mahoo has isolated one of Luciano's arms. Luciano looking to fight him off but Mahoo twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

Renzo Brown really struggled with his weight cut for this fight. After coming in at 138.5, he had two hours to cut the additional weight. He was unable to do so and as a result, his fight with Couscous Mahoo was cancelled. |

He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Arsenault's half guard. Mahoo is looking to take a break and control but Arsenault is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mahoo wants to pass to mount but Arsenault is defending the position. Mahoo has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. #R1##TD# Dangle looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mahoo! Mahoo wants to control but Dangle postures up. Dangle has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Mahoo! Mahoo throwing hammer fists to the chest of Dangle. What's that going to do exactly? Dangle throwing strikes here but Mahoo is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Dangle throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mahoo because Dangle loaded up on that one. Mahoo tries to hold on but Dangle pushes him away. Mahoo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

#T1# Mahoo sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mahoo can do anything to dispel that myth. Dangle prevents Mahoo from standing back up.
Dangle frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Dangle throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Dangle looking to control but Mahoo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Dangle could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mahoo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. #T2# Mahoo is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position. Mahoo is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Mahoo blocking the ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dangle controlling his opponent. Mahoo regains half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Dingle Dangle showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dangle has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
