Rusev closes this distance looking for a takedown but Patterson circles away. Patterson tries for a takedown but Rusev sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.#TD# Patterson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rusev to score an easy takedown into full guard.#SUB2# Patterson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. #SUB2# Patterson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rusev can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rusev passes easily into side control. Nice work. Rusev landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Rusev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Patterson struggling a bit here. Ruttu moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A cross from Ruttu lands. Ruttu drops Patterson with a big left hand! Patterson is injured, injured bad! Ruttu jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

#R1# Patterson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jacobs circles away. Jacobs really is a fat lump. Nice takedown defense from Jacobs. No joy for Patterson on that attempt. Patterson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jacobs tries to avoid it but Patterson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jacobs to the ground. Jacobs escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Frank Jacobs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. #R1# Patterson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tillich avoids it really well and circles away. A little jabbing left from Tillich on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Patterson is defended easily by Tillich. Tillich's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Tillich's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Tillich throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tillich will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Patterson shoots in looking for a takedown but Tillich manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Patterson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Oh, that's bad for Tyson!#SUB2# Patterson has hold of Tyson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Tyson seems comfortable defending it but Patterson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Tyson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Tyson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Patterson couldn't care less - he's delighted!
