#R1# Williamson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kinston manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. We've been hearing reports that Kinston has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Williamson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kinston. Williamson tries to move into range but Kinston moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.#TD# Williamson tries to sprawl but Kinston drives through with a takedown into half guard. Kinston seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Kinston is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Williamson tries to lock up and control but Kinston gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kinston takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kinston trying to control but he's not successful this time. #T1# Kinston avoids the attempt from Williamson to control. Kinston wants to take Williamson's back here but Williamson is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Kinston tries to land a sweep but no joy. #SUB2# Kinston had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hyrra defends it easily. Hyrra with a flurry of punches that miss. Kinston keeping moving, preventing Hyrra from controlling successfully. Hyrra is pushing down on Kinston's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kinston is fighting to maintain full guard but Hyrra has managed to sneak the leg through. Kinston wants to control but Hyrra is keeping busy.

John Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thomas tries to clinch up but Kinston circles away and keeps his distance. Kinston listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Thomas wants to clinch up but Kinston keeps it at a distance.#CL2# Thomas rushes Kinston and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Thomas connects with a knee to the head.

Kinston takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Jamal Kinston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
