Arif stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Voribiev swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Voribiev has a closed guard, preventing Arif from standing up.
Arif throws a strike but Voribiev rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVR#

Voribiev gets to his feet and stands over Arif, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Arif felt that one! Voribiev unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Arif from any more punishment!

Smith with a hook.
Arif closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smith circles away.
As Arif backs away, Smith returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Arif walks forward, straight into a front kick from Smith.
An inside leg kick lands from Smith.
Arif will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Arif lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. #TD2#
Arif fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Smith to the ground. Arif is now in Smith's guard.
Smith manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Smith counters with a nice low kick that buckles Arif's knee momentarily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Smith feints and then cracks Arif's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Arif down.

Smith lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Smith stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Smith wants it to stay on the feet.
Arif closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Arif pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Arif throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smith.
Arif's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Arif tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Smith defends well and Arif ends up having to push Smith into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

No joy there for Arif, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
