#R1##TD# Gutierrez dives in and scores a takedown into Wasilczuk's guard. Wasilczuk manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Wasilczuk tries to pull guard but Gutierrez won't allow it.
Gutierrez is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Both guys are working to get underhooks. #BC2# Wasilczuk pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wasilczuk looks to score with a jab to the body but Gutierrez is just out of range. Horrible takedown attempt by Wasilczuk or perhaps it was just good defense by Gutierrez, which made it look bad. Gutierrez blocks a low kick nicely. It looked like Gutierrez wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Wasilczuk takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gutierrez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wasilczuk. It looked like Gutierrez was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Wasilczuk. Santiago Gutierrez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kacper Wasilczuk.#T1# Gutierrez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wasilczuk paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wasilczuk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gutierrez circles away. Gutierrez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wasilczuk leaves Gutierrez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.#TD# Gutierrez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wasilczuk tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gutierrez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. #SUB# Gutierrez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wasilczuk has escaped the position, nice work there. Wasilczuk wants to control but Gutierrez postures up.#T2# Gutierrez wants to control but Wasilczuk is keeping him busy. Wasilczuk looks to move to half guard but instead Gutierrez has passed into mount! Damn! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wasilczuk can do anything to dispel that myth. Gutierrez controlling his opponent. Gutierrez manages to capitalize on a mistake by Wasilczuk to take his back! Gutierrez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#T3# Gutierrez controlling well, preventing Wasilczuk from escaping the position.
