Mirkovic jabs Kanner right on the nose. Kanner blinks but takes it well. Kanner lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.#CUT2#It looks like Filipo Mirkovic has been cut. Mirkovic works the jab nicely. Kanner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mirkovic swats him away and circles back towards the center. #KD# Mirkovic feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kanner sprawling to the canvas! Kanner rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mirkovic finish him?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mirkovic lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

#R1# Kanner connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Kanner throws a right and a left that Halo avoids nicely. Kanner throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Halo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kanner's coach down at Gym To Nica was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kanner's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Halo fails with the takedown. Halo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kanner misses with a few strikes there.
Kanner lands a glancing blow to the side of Halo's head.#TD# Halo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kanner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Halo preventing the sweep. Halo tries to free his leg and advance position but Kanner is retaining full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Halo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kanner manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Halo manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVB##SUB# Halo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kanner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kanner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Halo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T1# Kanner with a flurry of punches that miss. Kanner postures up in Halo's guard and throws a big left but Halo blocks it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Halo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Halo trying to control the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kanner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kanner with a flurry of punches that miss. Anderson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kanner just stands there and leans against the cage. Kanner working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Anderson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kanner walks away with a smile on his face. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Anderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Kanner sprawls well. He's pushed Anderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kruce Kanner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bas Anderson.#CL# Kanner clinches with his opponent.
