Bryan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? D Angelo is fending him off so far but Bryan persists. Nope, D Angelo circles away and we're back to standing.
Bryan is looking to clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from D Angelo! But no joy.
D Angelo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
D Angelo moves out of range of the body kick.
D Angelo lands a nice shot to the body.
D Angelo lands with a good body shot.
Bryan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and D Angelo counters with a right hand to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

D Angelo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
D Angelo stuffs the takedown attempt from Bryan. Bryan gets slowly back to his feet.
It seemed like D Angelo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
The crowd cheers as D Angelo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bryan doesn't seem phased though.

Bryan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down D Angelo for as long as he can get away with.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Bryan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bryan has an Americana. D Angelo didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bryan is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bryan hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
