#R1# Newton misses with a head kick.
Williams throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Newton's head.#CUT2#It looks like Luther Newton has been cut.#CL# Newton closes the distance and clinches. Williams is stalling here.
Williams is trying to pull guard but Newton turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Williams gets underhooks to prevent Newton's takedown attempt.

Newton is trying to drag Williams to the mat but Williams just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.#TD# Newton pulls guard effortlessly. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Newton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#SUB2# Williams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Newton is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Williams, into his guard. #REVR##T1# Williams keeping moving, preventing Newton from controlling successfully. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Williams is on top in guard.
#REVB# Newton wants to sweep but no luck. Newton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Williams looking to pass the guard. #T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Newton has momentary wrist control but Williams slips an elbow through the middle. Williams is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Newton is on top in guard.
#REVR# The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Williams has control of Newton's left arm, preventing Newton from doing any damage. Chad Williams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Luther Newton is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.#SUB2# Williams escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Newton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
