Santos wants to pass the guard but Guero is keeping the position. Santos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#T3# Santos's corner is telling him to maintain position. Santos stacks Guero on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Santos! A close round but Evandro Santos will probably get the nod. That's time! Guero's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.#R2##TD2# Santos closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Santos advances to mount. Guero tries to hold on but Santos pushes him away. Guero keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Santos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santos looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Santos postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Guero in real trouble here! The ref calls for Guero to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
