#R1# Nice takedown defense from Volkov. No joy for Lenkov on that attempt. Volkov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lenkov on the side of the head. Lenkov has his takedown stuffed and Volkov counters with a straight right hand. Lenkov misses with a takedown and Volkov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yegor Lenkov. That's going to take a lot out of him.#CL2# Volkov clinches up with Lenkov and pushes him back against the cage. Volkov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Volkov prevents the takedown attempt.
Lenkov is looking to take this one to the mat.#BC2# Volkov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lenkov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily #CL2# and Volkov counters by moving into the clinch. #TD2# Volkov pulls guard. #SUB# Lenkov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Volkov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lenkov, into his guard. #REVB# The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lenkov trying to keep a closed guard but Volkov is proving a slippery customer.
#T1# Volkov controls from within his opponent's guard. Volkov connects with a couple of short punches. Volkov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Volkov with a flurry of punches that miss. Lenkov wants to sweep here but Volkov controlling him for the moment. Volkov cracks Lenkov with a solid left hand.#SUB# Lenkov pushes a forearm under Volkov's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Volkov is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
