Manres feinted with a counter takedown. Aremis lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Aremis lunges at Manres with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Manres's hand. Manres takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Manres blocks a head kick by Aremis.
Aremis paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Aremis misses with a low kick as Manres jumps back. Aremis throws a lazy right hand but Manres sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Aremis throws a poor cross that misses
and Aremis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Aremis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Manres's waist but Manres gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aremis off to one side. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Aremis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Manres.

Aremis is looking to land body kicks. Aremis's coach down at Bruize Brothaz was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Aremis's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Aremis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Manres was well out of range. Poor timing from Aremis. Aremis connects with the punch. The fight stays on the outside here - Manres looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Manres gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Aremis. A cross from Aremis lands. Aremis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

#R1# Kane misses with an uppercut. Kane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Manres. Kane jabbing away but nothing is landing. Manres misses with a double jab.
Kane looks like he wants to counter punch here. Manres dives in and grabs Kane's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kane pushes down on Manres's head and hops out. Kane throws a combination. Manres tries to block but a couple of punches get through. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kane tries to bum rush Manres with a series of wild strikes but Manres uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Manres feinted with a counter takedown. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Kane looks to score with a jab to the body but Manres is just out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kane connects with a high kick. Kane connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Manres's hands.#T3# Nice jab there from Kane. Kane wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Manres throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Manres dives in for a single leg takedown but Kane sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Kane thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Manres if he has to take too many more of those.

#R1# We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Manres looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Manres throws a leg kick that misses. #TD# Manres manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pillowhands on his heels. He'll look to pass Pillowhands's guard now, I'm sure. Manres throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Pillowhands working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Manres. Manres with a flurry of punches that miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manres is stalling in the full guard. Manres has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Manres throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. #T1# Manres tries to free his leg and advance position but Pillowhands is retaining full guard. Nice defenses there by Manres. Manres has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Manres there as he acknowledges the shot. Manres staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Manres doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Page connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Nice uppercut lands for Page. That snapped Manres's head back.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Moraes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Manres.
