One of a long line of soldiers from his family to serve in the 5th Ghurka Rifles in the Indian army. His grandfather was awarded the VC while serving in the rifles during WW2. A handy wrestler as a youth, Agansing gained indian citizenship due to his service, eventually moving to Sydney to pursue an MMA career.
