Cortez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Brown looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Cortez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cortez seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cortez swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cortez dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Brown stiff and motionless on the mat!

After winning the bout, Rafael Cortez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Phenoix Brown spoke after the fight, saying 'I may be down but I am not out. I wil comeback stronger and not lose that way again'.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Truck has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
