#R1##TD2# Marteau shoots in and gets a takedown into George's guard. Marteau wants to stand but George is controlling his posture from full guard. Marteau throwing strikes from guard but George blocks nicely. Marteau trying to control but George is working from the bottom. George really is a fat lump. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marteau tries to stand but George is controlling from the bottom. Marteau wants to control from the top but George keeps moving. #T1# Marteau is looking to stand up but George won't let him. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Marteau throws a front kick aimed at George's knee but George avoids it well. George appears to be looking for a big counter.#TD2# Marteau closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. George did well to prevent Marteau getting side control. Still in half guard, Marteau seems content to control. Marteau wants to pass the guard but George is defending well. Marteau wants to control but George is keeping him busy. #T2# George is looking for a sweep. Marteau is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. George trying to control but Marteau postures up.
George keeps control of the position for the meantime. George is trying to get back to full guard.#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#TD2# Marteau changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. George looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. George is not content to let Marteau control the position. #T3##SU2# Marteau stands up and beckons George to his feet. #TD2# Marteau looking to score a takedown here. George is defending well but Marteau drives through and ends up in George's guard. George throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
George is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# George tries to stand but his arm is trapped. #T4# Marteau is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute George jumps into side control! George is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Marteau will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.#SU# George decides to stand back up. Marteau displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from George. As George backs off Marteau throws a huge counter combo but George manages to avoid it all. A telegraphed takedown attempt from George is defended easily by Marteau. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#TD# George feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.#ES2# Marteau pushes George off and gets back to his feet.

Blaise Marteau dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! #R2##TD2# The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Marteau gets a takedown into half guard.#SUB2# Marteau is working for a submission of some sort.
Marteau takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marteau working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on George's thigh. George counters though and makes it back to full guard. #T1# Marteau controlling from the top position. Marteau wants to control from the top but George keeps moving. Marteau throws a big elbow that misses. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Marteau looking to sit in guard and control but George gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR##T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Marteau is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Marteau has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Marteau is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Marteau seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Marteau looking to hit a scissor sweep but George is one step ahead there. #T3# Marteau wants to improve his position but instead George has moved into half guard.
#SUB# George is trying to work for a kimura but Marteau is defending well.
#SU# George stands up and beckons Marteau to join him on the feet. Marteau throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and George counters with a three punch combo that has Marteau backing up. Marteau nods at George to acknowledge the strikes. Marteau will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Marteau tries to close the distance and clinch but George swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. #TD2# Marteau shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in George's guard. Marteau is stalling in the full guard. #SUB# George is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marteau stopping the sweep attempt from George. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blaise Marteau showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! #R3# George misses with a takedown attempt and Marteau counters with a lovely straight right hand!#CUT2# It looks like Edward George has been cut.#TD2# Marteau closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Marteau lands in his opponent's guard. George can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Marteau controls the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. George wants to sweep but no luck. #T1# Marteau wants to pass the guard but George is keeping the position. Marteau must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. George keeping moving, preventing Marteau from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marteau loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. George is trying to keep Marteau in close.
#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Marteau swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Marteau is looking to take this fight into the clinch.#TD2# Marteau feints and as George raises his hands in defense, Marteau changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.#T2# Marteau looking to pass the guard. George looking for a sweep. Not yet George, not yet. Marteau with a flurry of punches that miss. Marteau's corner is telling him to maintain position. Marteau stands and throws George's legs to the side, diving into side control. #SUB2# Marteau tries for a kimura but George is defending well. Marteau takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. An elbow from Marteau crashes against the mat.
#T3# George is looking for a sweep. Blaise Marteau has got the better of the ground game so far. Marteau tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Marteau content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. George defending against the ground and pound. #T4# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Marteau is trying to ground and pound but George uses the momentary lack of control by Marteau to regain half guard. George tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Marteau has advanced to mount. Uh oh. #SUB2# Marteau goes for an armbar but he's not got it… George turns into him and now he's in Marteau's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Blaise Marteau comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Marteau has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
