He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tarlah connects with a nice short shot to Jackson's temple. Zakrzewski tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. West slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. West stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zakrzewski swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
