#R1# Shihsaidov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Yamasaki under the eye. Yamasaki missing with a left hand there. Shihsaidov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Yamasaki avoids a kick to the body.
#CL2# Shihsaidov rushes Yamasaki and presses him up against the cage. Yamasaki pressing his opponent against the cage. Yamasaki wants to stall.
A short body shot lands from Yamasaki as the two fighters clinch.
Yamasaki swings wildly with an uppercut but Shihsaidov uses good head movement to avoid it. #BC2# Shihsaidov manages to break the clinch.
Shihsaidov looks to land a left hand but Yamasaki moved out of range nicely. Nice body kick there by Shihsaidov. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yamasaki takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

I was talking to Yamasaki's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.#TD# Yamasaki has Shihsaidov pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Yamasaki pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Shihsaidov tumbling to the mat - Yamasaki dives into Shihsaidov's guard. Yamasaki throws an elbow that misses. Shihsaidov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Yamasaki's guard. Nice move by Shihsaidov!#REVB# Yamasaki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shihsaidov's guard. #REVR# Shihsaidov looking to control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shihsaidov can do anything to dispel that myth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yamasaki postures up and lands a big shot to Shihsaidov's brow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yamasaki landing some decent shots from guard. Yamasaki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#T2# A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yamasaki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Yamasaki landing with the ground and pound. Shihsaidov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Yamasaki won't allow Shihsaidov to sweep him here. Shihsaidov is still trying to improve position. Shihsaidov can't keep his opponent in guard - Yamasaki advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. #T3# Yamasaki scoring with strikes to the body and head. Yamasaki is nestled in close to Shihsaidov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. He's hurt bad - Yamasaki fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Shihsaidov from any more punishment! Congratulations to Yamasaki! Great finish!
