#R1# Lineker shoots in but no luck this time. Lineker looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Baertum works the jab nicely.#CUT2# It looks like Jhon Lineker has been cut. Baertum throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lineker takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lineker fails with the takedown and Baertum counters with a stiff right hand. Lineker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Baertum avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jhon Lineker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Baertum scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Lineker looks for a takedown but Baertum sprawls well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baertum throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Baertum lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A left and a right from Baertum both land. Nice combination. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lineker dives in and grabs Baertum's left leg, looking for a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Baertum wants it to stay on the feet. Baertum throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Lineker colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Baertum as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Lineker is left battered and dazed whilst Baertum and his camp cheer!

#R1# Vershinin throws a front kick that sends Lineker stumbling back into the cage. Lineker on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Lineker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Vershinin throwing a counter right hand but Lineker manages to avoid it. Lineker takes a body punch but keeps moving. Good leg kick by Vershinin there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Very smooth. This has been an exciting period of action! Lineker tries to move to mount but Vershinin blocks the move with his legs. Vershinin stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Vershinin tries to buck Lineker off but Lineker is having none of it. The strikes coming from Lineker are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Lineker is trying to ground and pound but Vershinin uses the momentary lack of control by Lineker to regain half guard. Vershinin is looking to improve his position.

Raymaker throws a lazy right hand but Barnard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Raymaker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Barnard. Raymaker dodges the punch combination from Barnard.
Barnard has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Elly Barnard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Raymaker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barnard manages to avoid it. Barnard throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Barnard jabs at Raymaker's body. Barnard does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. We've been told by Raymaker's head coaches at Samran Muay Thai that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Barnard misses with a hook. It looked like Raymaker was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Barnard. Barnard throws a left and a right that both miss
and Raymaker counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Raymaker swings for the body but Barnard moves out of range.

Barnard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. After the fight, Kai Raymaker was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. Crespo comes to the ring accompanied by Toxic Waltz. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 4 losses; Aldo Crespo! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Carlos Maia! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.

Beefcake looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Barnard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Beefcake has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Beefcake slips a jab from Barnard. Barnard throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beefcake. Sloppy strikes from Barnard. Those never looked like landing. Barnard slips under a jab from Beefcake. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Barnard getting the better of the striking in that exchange. That's going to take a lot out of him. Machin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Deep as he avoids it easily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Machin on the wrong end of a nice hook. Deep lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Deep.
