The Palmtree in Las Vegas was packed for MMA Hype 3 and the fans clearly enjoyed the show. Another successful event for the Hype crew and another event full of new faces. We saw a little more versatility and a lot of aggression from certain fighters.
Fight of the night went to Borislav Yevgraf vs Ric Sandoval who gave us a nice back and forth battle, which unfortunately, the judges saw it go only one way. The clinch domination from Yevgraf was the only thing the judges saw, apparently. Sandoval was doing extremely well striking at distance, which forced Yevgraf to get close and work his dirty boxing.
KO of the night, or TKO of the night, went to Roger Sack who did everything right for 42 seconds. He mixed up his strikes and landed early on, which forced Fish Oper to hug him hoping to save his life. Sack then found an opening and landed a short punch which gave him enough space to follow with a vicious knee to Oper’s face which dropped him like a bag of potatoes.
Submission of the night was the only sub, but a well deserved award for Male Spice who got caught flat footed at the sound of the bell. We knew the matchup between Saengmorakot and Spice was going to end up on the ground, but it took literally 1 second to get there. Male Spice didn’t waste any time and went for a guillotine which he executed perfectly and forced his opponent to tap out.
