Golden Glory (17-2) vs Mitchell Stehling (21-6) - 265lbs Title Fight

Head-lining this colossal night of fights and defending his heavyweight crown, Golden Glory took on Mitchell Stehling in a compelling rematch of top tier mixed martial artists. Glory came into this fight fresh off losses to fellow former pound for pound crown holders Jeremy Tonal and Abayo Bokhari, and with added pressure not to drop the dreaded 3 fights in a row. Since the last time these fighters have met, Stehling has amassed a 3-1 record including some thoroughly convincing stoppages. After taking his last 3 opponents out over a course of lengthy wars, Stehling rightfully earned his rematch for the title. The taller Glory was able to truly impose his will in the stand up portion of the bout, and proved why he was once the top fighter in the world. Stehling offered limited offense against the former pound for pound champion, despite his immense wrestling pedigree. An undoubtedly flawless performance, Glory seemed untouchable. After stifling the takedown of the former Olympic wrestler, a thick flood of pin point and devastating strikes were unleashed upon the stunned Stehling. After suffering a cut and some significant damage to his legs and ribs, Stehling was on queer street with the wind taken out of him. The coup de grace came in the form of tremendous right handed strikes, which forced the referee to halt the bout at the 1:21 mark of round 1. Golden Glory proves to be in constant evolution as he literally improved ten fold on his previous victory over Stehling and retains his cozy heavyweight NFC belt.

George McTrigger (13-2-1) vs Masaru Midget (20-3) - 265lbs

Another pair of heavyweight titans clashed in the co-main event as Masaru Midget returned to the NFC on an 8 fight win streak to take on veteran George McTrigger in a bout with possible future title shot implications. The 5 time NFC vet George McTrigger has only lost one fight with the

Press conference for RISE #17: Friendly Fire

Event Preview: Quick Fight Championship
Quick Fight Championships
2009-06-02, St Petersburg,
Author:Speedy Gonzaitev

Today during the first press conference for RISE #17 Friendly Fire we managed to snag interviews with Viktor Kafka, his manager Alexi Zaitev, and his opponent John Mayhem and his manager Rob Calhoun

Reporter 1: Mr Kafka-Mr Kafka!
Kafka: Да парень микрофона господина?
Translator: Yes mister microphone guy?
Reporter 1: This has been billed as the #1 contender match for newly crowned champion Semmy Kasteel's title, who bet your stable mate Devil Jho, does that give you extra motivation to win this fight?
Kafka waits for the translation and says: Да этот парень Kasteel бил моего хорошего друга Джхо, но это не мое беспокойство, моя работа должна нарушить Джона Мэйхема, которого я сделаю.
Translator: Yes this Kasteel guy beat my good friend Jho, but that is not my concern, my job is to break John Mayhem, which i will do.
Alexi: Next question please, Kafka must get back to training.
Reporter 2: What are your thoughts on your opponent John Mayhem who has finished all of his opponents in his victories?
Kafka: Не имеет значения для меня, что сделал мой противник, но его отчет внушителен. Однако, когда мои кулаки и голени поражают его, он, привычка выживает.
Translator: It does not matter to me what my opponent has done but his record is impressive. However, when my fists and shins hit him, he wont survive.

John Mayhem now enters the press conference wearing a project mayhem shirt and accompanied by his manager, Rob Calhoun.

Reporter: Mr Calhoun, how do you plan on dealing with Kafka's deadly striking game?
Rob: The same way i train my guys to deal with all opponents, finish the opponent before they are finished.
Reporter 2: Mayhem, we haven't heard much about you, can you explain this?
Mayhem: First rule of project Mayhem, don't talk about project Mayhem.

Reporters talk amongst themselves nervously. The owner of RISE, Roger Kint now enters from backstage.

Reporter 3: Mr. Kint! Mr. Kint! How did you react when two of your alliance mates wanted their top prospects to go at in on this upcoming RISE card?
Roger: Well, as I tell everyone, RISE is about the fans and fair fights, and this was a fight that has been in the making for a very long time. Luckily, both managers were still willing to throw down especially with the winner gets a title shot stipulation.
Reporter 1: Mr. Kafka, how goes your training coming into this fight?
Kafka: Мое обучение идет очень хорошо. Мы развили некоторые новые дополнения к моей игре, которую я стремлюсь испытывать.
Translator: My training goes very well. We have developed some new additions to my game that i am eager to try out.
Mayhem: You won't be able to use them, the first time my fist hits yourself its game over.
Kafka: Мне сказали это прежде, он был неудачен, так же, как Вы будете.
Translator: I have been told this before, he was unsuccessful, just as you will be.
Mayhem: Ah, hell no!
Mayhem rushes to his feet and runs towards Kafka, who calmly gets to his feet and stares down Mayhem as Rob Calhoun tries to restrain his fighter.
Rob: Save it for the fight Mayhem.
Kafka coolly walks over to Mayhem and Mayhem pulls out a baseball bat and tries to hit Kafka with it but Kafka effortlessly side ste

We are sitting here with Oisin O' Conghaile. As Joe Boxer is currently fighting a bout in the UPG, Oisin is currently the highest ranked 185 lbs. fighter on the APG roster. Let's dive right in!

Welcome, how was the trip here?
Well, let me tell you. It's winter in the NYC and I'm freezing me balls off. Unfortunately to paraphrase a line from me training partner, Mr. Bon Scott," I don't have the biggest balls of them all," in fact right now, dey probably look like a pair of raisins!

Yeah, the NY winter can be a pain to a mans balls. Tell us what its like to grow up in a place like Ballycarney?
Ahhh, home, it still brings such warm memories to me heart, almost warm enough to get me scrotum t

OverComing 3: Danny Brown vs. Jordan Statham! PREVIEW

Event Preview: O3: Maia vs Aquino
Overcoming (ID 155k+)
2012-01-29, Amsterdam, Micro Arena - Amsterdam
Author:K Rad

G'day G'day my sexy little kittens. K-Rad is back again but unfortunately needs to be uncharacteristically brief as it is an Australia Day long weekend for me and despite getting in a solid 11am-11pm drinking session yesterday, I need to do it all again today in the name of the Great Brown Land we know locally as 'Straya mate'. Despite the relative lack of K-Rad you certainly won't be lacking any top quality MMA as Amsterdam's Micro Arena is hosting 10 big fights including the first ever title fights for 2 different weight divisions. Suffice to say, it's going to be a sell out so make sure you grab your ticket now or die trying. Tickets are not fifty cent.

Danny Brown vs. Jordan Statham
Middleweight

We get the action started with middleweights Brown and Statham, both unknown up-and-comers with only Statham having a professional fight (and a win!) to his name. Brown fancies himself a boxer whereas Statham is a grappler wi

TTFC"s Charles Smith Interview

Fighter profile of Charles Smith by Mike Thomas

YSN: I'm here from Your Sports Network to interview Charles ''Lightning'' Smith and talk to him about his upcoming fight with Vitali Jurcina. Charles, how are you?
Smith: Good, how about yourself?

YSN: Good. So your fight with Vitali is coming up in 7 days, what do you think about your opponent?
Smith: Remember Ivan Drago from Rocky? That's what I think about Vitali Jurcina. Guy likes to stand and bang like me, which makes for good fights. It's going to be like a fireworks show in there.

YSN: Many people have questioned your logic for taking this fight, saying that he's that much better than you, your thoughts?
Smith: Look, I wouldn't take a fight if I didn't believe I had a chance whatsoever. I've got some tricks up my sleeve that people havent seen.

YSN: You said it's going to be like a fireworks show in there, does that mean you think the two of you plan to fight on your feet?
Smith: I'd love to, but don't plan on it. Listen, I

TTFC: Leonidas Vs Hill

Event Preview: TTFC Leonidas Vs Hill
Team Thomas Fight Club
2012-01-28, New York, Hard Knocks - New York
Author:Mike Thomas

Fighting never solved anything....yeah right! Saturday night, fight night!

Lightweight: Kendall Thomas (5-3) vs "The Cole Miner" Michael Cole (3-5)

TTFC regular Kendall Thomas returns to the cage this weekend to face Michael Cole in a battle of skilled fighters with mediocre records. Thomas comes to finish fights and does so more often than not with all 5 of his victories coming by way of TKO and he would like nothing more than to make that 6 our of 6 versus Michael Cole. In Cole he faces a slick submission artist who is very much still trying to add to his arsenal. His hand skills are well developed but he is yet to really demonstrate a confidence in them. This fight will come down to wrestling and whether Cole can get Thomas on the mat where he can show off his Black Belt.

Prediction: Thomas is the better fighter but Cole is certainly capable of locking in a fight ending submission in a heartbeat. That said, Thomas has the takedown defense and the striking to put away Cole before the end of round 2.

Lightweight: "Sexy" Steve Starkweather (8-3) vs "Sophisticated" Boxing Comte (18-10)

"Sophisticated" Boxing Comte finds himself on the undercard largely as punishment for his no show for a title showdown with Blaise Lamont. To earn a second crack at the champion Comte will have to put together a serious run of wins against some top lightweights and Steve Starkweather is aiming to avoid being the first victim. Former champion Starkweather would like nothing more than to nip Comte's title aspirations in the bud and end his own two fight losing streak in the process. Whilst Comte relies on counter-wrestling and top level boxing. Starkweather brings a game as well rounded as anyone at lightweight and can meet almost any challenge in the cage.

Prediction: Boxing Comte needs to win big over and over to win back the favour of TTFC but

What good is it to have without giving it back?

Editorial by Steven Stepp

New managers sign up almost everyday, most of them, or actually I should say the fighters, start out with nothing just like in real life. If you have recruited new managers to be part of your organization or if you're a manager who owns a clothing company with a merch partner and have extra money to spend, I encourage you to sponsor new managers and their fighters to help keep competition at a level where new managers feel competent enough to continue playing on.

Org owners should not expect to sign a fighter for $500 dollars. I know and understand that as companies we sometimes want to sponsor the most hyped fighter we find, but we need to focus on the future of our game. For example, a non-VIP Player who really doesn't want to spend money on VIP status but enjoys playing the game. If we as org owners or clothing companies, etc, don't want to waste our time on someone who is non-VIP or give him or her a fair chance by offering them a decent contract or sponsoring their fighters how are we to expect something from him or her?

My point: We as VIP members should always give a non-VIP manager the desire to sign on to go VIP. I give most all my profits back to managers and their fighters, especially new managers. Just like in real life guys, we ca

Interview with BAC Star Chibi Tsushima

Fighter profile of Chibi Tsushima by Barry Kennedy

Interviewer: I'm here with Chibi Tsushima, who will be fighting Paulo Calamote in just a few days at BAC 120. Chibi, how has your training camp gone for this fight, and what have you been working on to prepare for Paulo?

Chibi Tsushima: Pretty well.. Training with my big brother and mentor, Lewis Tsushima, and the gang here at Sabateur's Playground. Everybody knows me for my ground game, but I've been drilling striking drills with my coaches.. Let's just say they will see a different Tsushima when I step across the cage from Calamote.

Interviewer: I spoke with Calamote yesterday and he seemed very confident of his chances against you on the ground. Do you feel like he is in over his head if he thinks he can grapple with you?

Chibi: I got a ton of respect for Calamote, but I don't think he shares that same respect for me. He can strike with strikers and he can hold his own on the ground with grapplers, but he's just okay a
