- Pre-Fight Analysis by Jake Hunter -
Ladies and gentlemen, we are coming to you live from beautiful Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in Wild Bob's Bar to discuss the highly anticipated BAMMA 1 event on Saturday, August 9, 2014. We have some high powered, explosive fights on this card that will make you coming back for more! Now...the rundown of BAMMA 1.
Undercard:
Middleweight Bout - Aapo Lollo (1-0) is a young grappler out of Brazil who had a unanimous decision win against Jack Taylor (1-1) is his first career bout in the QFC. He will be facing Zaire's own, Gustavo "The Manian" Santos (1-0), who came away with a slick guillotine victory in the 1st round vs. Von Cherry (1-5) in his QFC debut. Both Lollo and Santos are expected to grapple as they are both BJJ purple belts, so expect a very technical grappling match between the two.

Hello Willy, great to have you in the studio with a few burning questions for the fans!
Question #1: You joined GAMMA when they just formed the 145lbs division; however you previously spent time in the 155lbs division, why did you make the decision to move down to 145lbs?
Willy: The decision to move to 145 just seemed like the right move. I had a good run at 155 in a respectable org in London, moved to Vegas to join GAMMA, won one at 55 and had some dude get stuck in an airport somewhere and had a no contest in the next one. But the level of competition in GAMMA was so much higher than I had experienced before. I took a couple fights in the GAMMA: Contenders organization and just dominated there, but still d cont... |

The finale to HONOR FC's incredibly successful Wednesday Warfare series had a fitting end in front of a sold out Palmtree in beautiful Las Vegas. This event was one of the highest rated in the history of the series and was a fitting end to a series of fights.
Frank "Bruiser" Brody (6-4-1) vs Darc "The Wild One" Von Hayek (4-4)
This fight was an absolute stand up war between two of the better prospects in the welterweight division. Brody was able to use his quick feet to avoid clinching with the tough MT practitioner Von Hayek and out strike him on his way to a devastating KO finish.
Result: Frank Brody KO Roud 1
Dom "Dueces Wild" Danky (24-15-1) vs Jeffrey Sarpong (10-3-1)
Both of these guys are stand up fighters through and through and have established themselves as two of the better fighters in the middleweight division. Danky was able to put away the incredibly tough Sarpong with vicious elbow strikes while cont... |

Since I'm quite proficient in making and investing in failed project fighters I will share some insights into my mistakes and highlight a few fighters I've brought up
Edwin Odesseiron (192785)
Edwin was a fighter that I got way too attached too which is probably one of the biggest mistake you can make. He is one of only 2 fighters I've made a custom avatar for myself which was a huge cause for the attachment. Although he is an amazingly fast learner and has a granite chin, he drops to 0.67 morale after a loss which is absolutely a deal breaker in the eyes of most experienced managers. His new manager has done a pretty commendable job with him so far and I'm curious to see what happens with him. I feel like you can only get away with it for so long until it comes back and bites you in the ass though. At the end of the day most managers will tell you that having a fighter's morale drop to 0.67 is the reddest of red flags and you should get rid of him right then and there. Simple as that.
Korgan Bloodaxe (207657)
Korgan is a fighter currently on my roster and has been quite a messy failure. Korgan popped "Intelligent" on his cont... |

Event Review:
, , Attendance:0, Event Rating:0 Author:Altair The Assassin
Hellow Hellow. I’m Assassin here from Belle Center and I will be reviewing the MFN 118. The total atendance today was 18.836 and a total of 34,007 PPV sales.
Undercard
First match was in the 135 lbs division where Rick Dynamo (9-7) faced Diego Nunes (19-16). Nunes came up good and took the fight to the ground right after the 30 seconds have passet. After the stand up Dynamo came better and took the fight to the ground 2 times in a row, but coudn’t held Nunes as he got a quick triangle around Dynamo’s neak. Nunes squzed the triangle and sank it good, forcing his opponent to tap. I honestly didn’t expect for Nunes to get the submission but cutos to him for winning in 2:24 in the first round.
Second match Jack Gates (9-9) took on Donald Trump (7-3). I was so wrong in my prediction as Trump proved to everybody who doubted him that he is a very good fighter. In the fir cont... |
I am proud to have GAMMA legend and future hall of famer to our studios, Usain Watts! Welcome here Usain, so lets get started!
Question #1 It is quite remarkable the level of competition you fought in GAMMA. Virtually all of your fights were up against current of future Hall of famers. You also had a few rubber matches as well. Which GAMMA duel was the most interesting to you?
Usain: Thanks for having me Mentor. Man I have had a couple of really good duels, so it's hard to pick a favorite. But I'd have to say Mr Sexual himself..... Fred Ettish. He's got 2 KO's on me & won the 3rd fight in a 5 round war, all 3 fights won FON honors. I would love one more crack at Coquettish. Do you know what that means by the way? If you don't..look it up.
Question #2 You joined GAMMA at a later stage in your career but have still amounted a decent run of 24 fights. Do you regret not joining earlier?
Usain: Q2: I've always fought in the big cont... |
