Sami Bernill Q&A

Fighter profile of Sami Bernill by Alika Webb

Q: Dear martial arts fans today I will pay a visit to a rising star in the light heavyweight division in the Island's kickboxing organisation Pride KT. Sami Bernill just made his debut and eventhough he didn't win, he didn't lose! That's right, his debut ended in a draw. His opponent Abidemi Kwame also made his debut and started out strong in both rounds but when Sami took over he controlled the second half of both rounds. Sami, how do you feel about your debut?

Sami: After the fight it was kinda weird because I didn't know how to feel. On one hand i was so happy I didn't lose my debut and on the other hand i was kinda mad because I thought I'd done enough to win.

Q: Have you watched the fight yet and do you still think you should have won?

Sami: Yes, I did watch the fight the next day and it was a closer fight than I thought it was. I've accepted the draw and I'm ready to move forward now and win my fir

Event Review: HONOR FC 31 Resurgence
HONOR Fighting Championship
2014-09-06, Las Vegas, Sparta's Palace
Attendance:7,000, Event Rating:351
Author:

HONOR FC presented HONOR FC 31: Resurgence at Spartas Palace in Las Vegas on September 6. This card was full of blockbuster matches; two of which happened to be title fights. Because of action packed cards such as this HONOR has continued to soar up the world rankings and has successfully established itself as one of the top promotions in the world.

Ethan "Captain Insaneo" Harris (11-4-1) vs "Ragnar" Svend Sved (19-13)
Sved was turned out to be the much more active, and versatile clinch fighter in this one as Harris only attempted elbows from the clinch; most of which Ragnar blocked with ease. In return Sved mixed in a variety of hard shots and ended the fight midway through the second round.
Prediction: Harris (T)KO Round 3 Result: Sved (T)KO Round

Bittersweet Symphony: elegy for Kim Figueroa

Fighter profile of Kim Figueroa by

"I read the news today oh, boy"....

Yeah, a great song by the Fab Four, but also a damn real fact of life: no matter how far you go or how long you run, there is still something that you leave behind.

That something, speaking of me, has a name: Kim Figueroa.

In my first life as an MMA Tycoon, Kim has been my greatest, yet more underestimated fighter.

Being the first kid knocking at my door when I started, he had to pay for all my faults and lack ow wisdom:

bad gyms, bad supplies, no money, wrong training, dumb

GAMMA #423 Review

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

We had a great event In Wombley Arena In London on August 17th. Here are your top 5 fights for the event.

The first fight was Willy Stoppers(39-15) managed by Jesse Stoppers VS JT Colossus(41-30) managed by Boondock the Destroyer

In round 1, Stoppers knocked out Colussus out cold without any trouble. Stoppers was going full on aggressive mode and Colussus didn't get any offense going making it very difficult for him to have a chance of winning. He got knockdown and by that time, you knew it was already over. I thought it would have been much much closer.

The next fight was Mizushima "Giant Head" Muroi(23-13-1) managed by Ed Soreass VS Luke Kilpatrick(20-6) managed by Killer Bamza.

Round 1 Muroi TKO'd Soreass easily. Muroi cut Soreass badly scoring a knockdown and finishing. Not much to say here, except SOreass did not show up to fight.

The next fight was between Sergei Kravinoff(13-5) managed by Lance Templeton VS Juan Tamad(19-12-1) managed by Mike Hunt

Kravinoff Knocked out Tamad in round 1 being the agressor and scoring the knockdown. The only thing to say is that Tamad didn't defend.

Where are they now?

Editorial by Jolon Williams

Remember Jolon Williams? Some of you hardcore MMA fans might. For those of you who don't, let us refresh your memory. Jolon Williams was a MMA manager who was setting the UK MMA scene on fire with a youthful, up and coming stable of fighters, mixed with inspired ideas and groundbreaking organisations based in the UK. Jolon Williams was a man who could arguably have been credited as the man who brought the UK MMA scene on the map way back when it was still considered a minor power in the grand scheme of Mixed Martial Arts.

At least, this was what he was ... up until he mysteriously disappeared from the MMA world entirely, nearly three years ago. But where did he disappear to?

Turns out, Jolon Williams wasn't the benevolent, inspirational and self-made entrepreneur he liked to portray himself as. Turns out, Jolon Williams didn't mysteriously disappear, but rather, he was arrested outside his Calabasas condo in Los Angeles, California, for allegations linked to fraud, money laundering, and several other counts of financial criminal activity.

Several may remember Jolon Williams' brainchildren, ranging from Nonstop Entertainment Incorpo

Brett Simmons

Editorial by Mystic Mac

Overview

Brett Simmons is a warrior at best, heavily devoted to MMA, reclusive and disciplined, Brett Simmons is among the best up and coming fighters in the world. You may see him spending time training in Ground Zero, Vegas, a Legion of Doom exclusive gym that is ran by his own Master, Master Roshi.

History

Brett Simmons was originally cold and heartless, thinking nothing of exploiting innocence and inflicting pain. However, Master Roshi eventually got through to him and helped him see the wickedness of his ways. He became a trusted and elite student from then on. Although, except for training and fighting, his reclusive and independent nature strays him away from civilization and he spends most of his time alone practicing meditation and training his mind. In fact; He is so enlightened that he is said to be the descendent of the Hindu God Shiva
