Its another huge evening of action-packed MMA entertainment as the World Combat Championships together with Vikai Gear presents its second New York City fight card, its WC 17: Mouba vs Jon 3! Two title fights are on the card headlined by the featherweight championship between Mamad Mouba and Derrick Jon and co-headlined by a tilt for the currently vacant lightweight crown between Papa Shango and Better Dead! Shtaaf Reimish here as always to break down all of Saturday's bouts, so let's get 'er going!
#11 OZ Icon (0-1) vs #8 Sonny "Steamin" Rich (0-0) Superheavyweight
WC 17's card kicks off with a superheavyweight tilt between two young fighters looking to make an early impression on their new bosses, its OZ Icon vs Sonny "Steamin" Rich! Icon comes into this fight with just one pro bout under his belt, a QFC loss to Diabolical Denubis, but will look to rebound here in his WCC debut. The 23-year-old hometown kid has a devastating pair of knuckles and knows how to use them. Rich is making his pro debut here at WC 17 and is looking for that dream beginning that includes a victory. The native of Philadelphia doesn't have to travel far from home for the fight either, and will look to utilize his superior Muay Thai skill set to wear down his opponent Saturday. I've got Icon via KO.
#10 Fedor "Stunna" Sambo (4-3) vs #11 "Terror" Trev Allen (2-1) Heavyweight
The second fight on tap pits two under ranked heavyweights into the octagon together to see who is ready to take that next step, its Fedor "Stunna" Sambo vs "Terror" Trev Allen! Sambo has been with the WCC since WC 4 back on the Island, but has never really seen his career take off in the trajectory he wanted it to. After going 3-2 in season, he survived the first ro cont...

Q: Dear martial arts fans today I will pay a visit to Mick Shaw. Now for those who haven't heard of him yet: Mick made his debut a while back, he completely dominated the fight and finished it in a minute and a half in the first round. After the fight he released a story about why he wanted to be a fighter and that story was good enough to get published in the highly respected Tycoon Times. Last time we talked about why he released the story. Now Mick, last mentioned you and I talked you mentioned that you were looking for an org, have you already found one?
Mick: I sure did, I signed a 5 fight deal with Immortals in New York City!

Dickie "The Dirt" Dirty
Hey everyone! After going 8-1-0 as a pro martial artist, my manager decided that it was time to leave everything behind and leave me in the gutter. I had some hard times , but I feel rejuvenated now under a new manager. He is proud to have picked me up and thinks that I can go a long way in this sport. I really hope so, because I don't want to let my manager down.

Dissolution is more than just a name, it is a keepsake. When Ken Enlow started assigning the name to certain aspects it took on a life of its’ own. Though the alliance by that named failed, Ken continued on with the clothing shop as well as a jet with the name. The jet is still available for flights but Ken closed the store to make way for his newest endeavor, Dissolution Fighting Championships opened in London in February with an ID restriction of 263+k. At the time of this writing DFC has already had five events with three more booked in the future. Also, at the time of this writing, DFC has crowned one champion, Leluta Holmdona at 265+ and has five other title matches scheduled including potentially Holmdona’s first title defense against Grant Brophy.
Dissolution is always looking for new talent, 263k+ and up. |
