Ascension 365 One Year in the Life Preview

Event Preview: 365: One Year in the Life
Ascension
2012-03-10, Los Angeles, LA Memorial Colossuseum
Author:Speedy Gonzaitev

We are in downtown New York in a partially run down red brick building with a darkened stage headlining the back of the large room with a small group of people gathering for the first ever Inside Ascension televised event with Skinny's official Fluffler Alexi Zaitev. The Host rambling Red Stevenson has everyone take their seats in the folding chairs as the show begins.

Red: So Alexi, some rumors are floating around about some possible shady dealings, any comments on this?

Alexi: Yes, I made a mistake as I misremembered a conversation I had with another organization owner about coming on board to be his writer. To be frank, I screwed up and I want to apologize to him publicly as well as to say that I did not intentionally do this to him. I made a mistake and I apologize for it.

Red: Well, its good to hear that you did not go out of you way to screw over an organization owner. Anyway, lets get to your take of arguably the biggest

Company profile by Ceasar Tomson

The Induction of Spurro Sparre into xXx Throwdown Hall of Fame.

Welcome ladies and gentleman to the Malmi Sports hall in Helsinki. I am here by invitation of Tim Key CEO and President of xXx Throwdown. We are here to witness the induction of Spurro Sparre into the Hall of Fame.

The lights have just gone out here at the Sports Hall and a hush has fallen over this well dressed crowd. A spot light has appeared on the podium.

A tuxedo clad Tim Key has taken the spot light. Lets see what he has to say.

Tim Key: November 11, 2011 I started a K-1 Tournament. We have had a deep 185 pound division. The Winner of the Throwdown K-1 MW Tournament! He was able to continue on and not let his lone loss affect the way he fought and continued to only get better. He came back and avenged his lone loss in the Quarter Finals and just plowed through to win it all. He is a very good K-1 fighter and has a bright future where ever he goes. Best of luck on your quest to become the best K-1 Fighter around! The third member of the xXx Throwdown Hall of Fame Spurro Sparre!!!

Spurro walks out onto the stage and takes his plaque and hold it above his head. After a hush falls over this rabid crowd Spurro steps to the microphone.

Trash talking out of control?

Editorial by

Is trash talking in MMA disrespectful?

Nowadays it seems like every other fighter feels that the only way they can get noticed is by talking trash to their opponents. While this can sometimes be a good way to build interest in their fights many MMA purist feel that it brings a bad light to the sport.

Trash talking between two fighters who legitimately don't like each other builds intrigue and interest in their fight. You can tell when two fighters dislike each other that their words will light a fire under both guys and the results can be exciting and fantastic.

However, there seems to be a surplus of fighters who talk crap just to stroke their own egos and just for the sake of running their mouths. Are people really supposed to believe that you hate a guy that before you where scheduled to fight you have probably never heard of? Talking crap when you have no legitimate reason to dislike another fighter just makes you look like a disingenuous diva

From Panama to Rio

Fighter profile of Luis Moreno by

Born and raised in Panama City, the young Moreno always had interest in sports. Coming from humble beginnings,as his father was nothing more than a simple fisher and his mother a weaver,Moreno had to make himself useful. He helped his father selling his catch, standing in the streets and yelling at people to buy some fishes.

He learned Freestyle-Wrestling in school and soon began to win national titles. When he was 17,he decided to start a career as Mixed Martial Artist upon watching some tapes of early Vale Tudo fights. He wasn´t good enough to win International titles in Wrestling,so he had no other choice as to pursue a career as fighter. He heard that the people in Brazil loved the sport they called "Vale Tudo" and that his only chance to train properly was down there. So he went on a roadtrip which lead him to the beautiful of Rio.His first four weeks he spent searching for cheap Gyms which would take care of an young, eager man.But there were not dozens of gyms as they said at home.So he lived for months in the Favelas, doing dirty work and living from the hand to the mouth.

But the fortune was good to him.He heard of an old Boxer,a Champion and Trainer, searching for young Talent. So Moreno decided to introduce himself to the old man,who should become his Trai
