Â
We have a statement from Dean Sutherland here about his thoughts on the situation.

“While I am glad TMZ has finally agreed to air the conclusion to their report on what goes on inside the Lords of War alliance, it must be said I feel sorry for the many innocent victims who have to cont...

Michael "Doom" Alvarez is a 20 year old Featherweight fighter, currently fighting for Ring of Violence organisation. Born to an American family in Albania, Himara, Alvarez is now a full-time MMA fighter that seeks to have thunderous perfomances in every one of his fights. His professional record consists of 6 wins and 3 losses, with 3 of those victories coming by way of KO or TKO.
As fans of MMA in general, we are witnessing the incredible comebacks of UFC fighters like Anthony Johnson or Robbie Lawler. We can also say that Alvarez is pretty much making the same amount of noise with his success at the current point of his career. He had 9 fights in RoV, and we can easily call him the veteran of this successful organisation, and the fans of RoV events also remember Alvarez for his strong chin and ability to stay standing even in the worst situations - Micheal has went through some WARS, and has never walked away from a battle. Alvarez started his career with 3 dominant wins, until he faced Mikhael Tomas, a decorated BJJ fighter that had a 4-1 record. He then lost by Submission (Kimura) in less than 2 minutes of Round 1 and this loss has shut down Alvarez's win streak. "Doom" was very unhappy with the loss - at that time, he was seen as the newly rising contender, which has the ability to become one of the most dominant champions RoV has seen. cont... |

What:Â I'm joined by one of the two men who main evented the first ever Highland Challengers card; Woody Forrest. Woody, it's got to feel good to pick up your first professional win, what did walking out as the victor mean to you?
Â
Forrest:Â It was great to be in the main event and getting the win means everything.
Â
What:Â You were able to hurt your opponent on the feet before taking the fight to the floor and finishing it with a submission. Do you consider yourself a jack of all trades or is there an aspect of the game which you feel that you specialize in?

Hello and welcome to this preview for Highland Games 77. The card is going to be headlined by the rubber match between Massimo Benvenuti and Arnavut Sevket. This is going to be a fight for the ages between two of the most technical and intelligent strikers in the game. Let’s take a look.
Â
Michael Thigpen (3-1) Vs John Pinaglabanan (6-2) – BantamweightÂ
Michael is coming off the first loss of his career so he’ll be looking to kick his Highland Games run off to a good start. He will try and use a ground and pound based style in this fight, but his recent failures in training have led to him looking very bad on the scales. John Pinaglabanan was on an impressive 6 fight win streak when he joined HG. In the organisation, he faced two top guys in Dan Sten and Darth Vader. Unfortunately he lost both, but in going the distance with these he is sure to have a lot of confidence in a fight at this level.
