There are two kinds of people, those who finish what they start and so on

-Robert Byrne

Four finishes baby, that’s what I like to see. The story of ROV 31 was leaving it out of the judges’ hands. The night started with the prelims where not one judge was actually needed as all of the fights ended in (T)KOs or submissions. The main card then gave five solid fights, with four of those puppies ending in finishes, ‘twas a beautiful sight. Some statistics: The event rating was a 174.53. The arena didn’t sell out, instead having an attendance shy of 3K at 2607. Altogether, the fighters were paid $168,000. Arnie Armstrong won KO of the night, Stephan Walter submitted his opponent into sub of the night, while Tony Ramos vs Eddy Edwards won fight of the night. Now, let’s get to a review of the main event.

265+ Title: Arnie Armstrong def Qasim Barakat via TKO (Punches) at 2:36 of Round 2

It was the clinch game that made the difference in this fight. It was the clinch game that helped Arnie Armstrong defeat Qasim Barakat and take the Super Heavyweight title for himself. The fight started up with action right away, as the fighters started trading shots from a distance. After about a minute of things, Armstrong brought the fight into the clinch where he was able to dominate things. Armstrong was the one that kept busier throwing headshot after headshot, although he didn’t land quite as many as he probably wanted to. Barakat mixe

Underworld 2 a big hit; 2 new champs

Event Review: Underworld 2 Ziadouh Vs Tyson
GAMMA Rising Stars (ID 290K+)
2015-05-30, New York, The Underground - New York
Attendance:1,000, Event Rating:106
Author:Adam Leigh

It was the best event of GKNY to date, and a promising sign for the newly operational GAMMA franchise, GAMMA Kids NY. New York’s The Underground was packed and then some, various fight fans later confirming they had snuck in without a ticket; one of them bounced from the venue after she elbowed a male fighter in response to an ass grab.

2 titles were fought over, and 2 fighters walked away with their first taste of gold in what has become the best received event so far. Of the winners, a new #1 GKNY P4P fighter emerged and many more proved they have what it takes to be successful with GAMMA, and maybe 1 day move on to the premier Las Vegas based promotion.

Underworld 2 has set high standards for events to come and the Underworld Clothing sponsored event has become a great monthly must-see for New York’s GKNY fight fans. So, let’s take a closer look at how things unfolded on this big night.

Highland Challengers 3 Review

Event Review: Highland Challenge 3
Highland Challengers
2015-05-30, The Island, Micro Arena - The Island
Attendance:400, Event Rating:78
Author:Callum McGregor

With Highland Challengers being such a young organisation with so much potential, I absolutely love watching things unfold. This card delivered and as the Island’s Micro Arena was packed from wall to wall, we got to see a new generation of mixed martial artists fight to leave their mark on the sport.

  Middleweight

Kimmo Kiiruna (0-1) def. Bear Grylls (1-1) by KO (Punch) at 0:09 of Round 2 For the entire duration of the opener, Kiiruna was highly effective with his clinch, beating Grylls up in close and doing some serious damage. When the bell went for the second, a hook followed by a straight send Grylls to the canvas, completely out cold. The brutal finish will be shown on highlight reels in the future that’s for sure.

  Middleweight

Oliver Queen (1-1) def. Phil Eccles (0-0) by Unanimous Decision  Phil wanted to take this one to the floor and was very active with punches, kicks and takedown attempts. Unfortunately, Queen was way
