BREAKING NEWS
OZZY McKANE KNOCKS OUT BOWSER STORMCROW AFTER ASCENSION 323
Ascension 323's after-party in a local brewery escalated into a full-out melee between Convicted and Broken Halo parties. According to eye witnesses and bystanders, Ascension's welterweight champion was knocked unconscious and escorted to Central Middlesex Hospital. Initially reported in critical condition, his status was downgraded to stable and recovering, and isn't expected to miss any time this year or be sidelined very long. We interviewed several witnesses in the area to receive their account of that night's events. The following report is from Ascension Featherweight Champion and fellow Irish-man Jameson "Guinness" Connemara, who was at the scene first hand and received a birds-eye view of the events.
"So it's four o'clock in the morning and they had everybody leave the club, right? Well, Ascension had bussed us all over there and we were waiting on the bus to get back and pick us up to bring us back to the hotel. It's down to Leonidas [Katsaros], me [Jameson Connemare], Klatz Matz, [Chris] Karter, that Japanese fighter [Kabuto Wakizashi], Bowser [Stormcrow] and Ozzy McKane. Ozzy McKane's crew was still there, Bowser's crew was also still there.
I walked out the back door to go in the alley. Bowser's buddy jumped on my back. He jumped on my back and acted like he had me in a choke hold, just messing around, you know? Then I felt him get ripped off of me. I turned around and Klatz had HIM in a chokehold, and was really choking him. The guy looked like a mouse that just got trapped in a mousetrap; his eyes were popping out and obviously he wasn't breathing.
Klatz thought he was actually attacking me – that's the only reason he did it. So I turned round and told Klatz to let him go, and Klatz let him cont... |

Being a KT fighter there was only one option for King Wong on The Island, Pride KT. So without delay King Wong's manager Dale Saw immediately contacted Ryne Woodsmall, owner of Pride KT, in hopes of getting Wong signed. Saw and Woodsmall worked out the details and the contract was signed.
It it wasn't too long before Wong had his first fight booked against Joel Vega on Pride Duces, Pride KT's second event. Wong's debut went very well for him. He took Vega into the clinch within 30 of the fight, held him there for about a minute landing a few shots when he decided to break from the clinch and knocked Vega down with a high kick before landing another big head kick ending the fight at 2:16 of round one.

205+ lbs for Light Heavyweight Championship:
Hughtavious Mingo defeated Dieter Von Sprockets by KO on 1:18 of 2nd round.
Early in the 1st round before 1 minute, Sprockets had been knocked down and cut but instead following to finish Mingo moved away to let Sprockets back on his feet. Sprockets clinched but couldn’t takedown from inside so he pushed Mingo away and succeed with his takedown. But Mingo easily managed to get back on his feet and then they fought within clinch but scored nothing.
Like 1st round, before 1 minute of 2d round Mingo let Sprockets back on his feet after knocked him down. But then he finished Sprockets with his combo punches and became new Light Heavyweight Champion!!!

![](../images/posters/143334214382.png) Camden has seem a lot of Highland Games action, but perhaps never a night of action like we witnessed on June 7th. Some absolutely incredible action, highlighted by an all time classic in our main event of the evening when Darth Vader challenged BJ Arnold for his newly won Bantamweight belt. Vader is the only man to ever put a scratch on Arnold's record, so it just made this fight so much sweeter.
Heavyweight
Brian Collins (2-1) def. Jander Silva (0-2) by KO (Punches) at 1:20 of Round 1
These two fought each other in the first round of the 1 million dollar heavyweight tournament. Collins won in the second round, but struggled to deal with the unorthodox style of Silva. In this fight, things ended the same but were much different. Collins got his boxing working from the outside and quickly landed a big combo to drop Jander. When the Brazilian got back up, and overhand right put a stamp on things to end the night. Collins saves his Highland Games job while Jander Silva unfortunately was released from the company.

Wiedman got the better of the exchanges early, landing strikes at ease while avoiding wild shots and easily stuffing 5 takedowns to take round 1. round 2 started much the same until a takedown for Manahan followed by multiple submission attempts lead to a tight arm triangle that forced the tap....great turnaround cont... |
