Hello world! Or not really...Remember your hometown? You had one, right? And now you're banished to this deserted island! Welcome to the The Underground of the Island. This time another title fight at 205lbs. Let's check the top 5 fights from this event...
#6 Niko Franjik v Vic Smackey
Niko lost his debut at the Leftovers against the title challenger due to his inability to take the fight to the ground. He's got nothing to offer on his feet and his winning chances are all due to his BJJ purple belt. Vic is making his long awaited professional debut. Unfortunately to Niko, Vic will not take the fight to the ground and will try to make use of his strong Muay Thai game to win this fight.

Q: Dear martial arts fans today I will pay a visit to the new Blunt Force Trauma heavyweight champion Duncan McAlister. Duncan, first of all congratulations on winning the belt. You showed that even at 39 years you're still one of the best heavyweights in the world.
Duncan: Thanks man, I doubt anyone else would put me on the same level as the best heavyweights in the world, but still I appreciate you saying that.
Q: Don't sell yourself so short. You're currently riding an impressive four fight winning streak, you're a champion in Australia's longest running fight org, you just beat the former champion in under 2 minutes and you made it look easy. Now that's impressive!
Duncan: Let me tell you, that wasn't easy. Cain is an animal on the ground so it wasn't hard to predict that he was going to try to take me down. Even though I knew what he was going t cont... |

Victory is always possible for the person who refuses to stop fighting
– Napoleon Hill
Two title fights, a fifty minute marathon match, and a come from behind victory to go along with seven finishes?!?! Now that is an event ladies and gentlemen. ROV 35: Bad Blood offered up a lot and it delivered some quality stuff. I am extremely grateful to have been a part of it. I was on the edge of my seat many times, and I imagine so were the 7284 that were in attendance. You can read this review, but after you do so go ahead and check out the fights, all were some really entertaining stuff. Pay special attention to our award winners also: Psycho Vaughan for KO of the night, George Steele for submission of the night, and Damien Redman vs Tony Ramos for fight of the night.

There are a few certainties in life. Some would have you believe that it’s just death and taxes. But those people are boring, and short-sighted. Plenty of people live on after they die, in memories, photos, albums, films and fan-fictions where, for the most part, they become vampires.
Considering the relatively short life span of sanctioned, organized MMA, the opportunities to become those legendary figures in the sport are wide open.
Some have already achieved such status, in the world, in London, or just within the Highland Games organization, where Friday and Sunday night fights have become on of those aforementioned certainties.
There may not be any titles on the line, but with a healthy mixture of rising stars and respected veterans, one impressive win could catapult someone into the next level.

185 lbs:
Harry Rodgers defeated Davor Suker by unanimous decision.
Davor Suker won the 1st round because he successfully took Rodgers down but couldn’t manage submission. 2nd and 3rd dominated by Rodgers who had landed more punches and kicks. A very tight bought.
205 lbs:
Jaka Baring defeated Andy Owen by KO in 0:08 of 1st round.
Only 2 kicks were launched 1 missed and the other landed. An impressive head kick by Baring made Owen twisted out cold. Baring now has 4 winning streak.
265 lbs:
Fong Say Yuk defeated Deni Mukhtar by unanimous decision.
An excellent bout. 99% for fight rating showed that the crowd very like how they fought. They fought all out with all they have although Say Yuk domi cont... |
