 Executioner: Heads will Roll
REVIEW

July 4 2015 marks the biggest event in Executioner history. With a sold out crowd at Credit Card Center, our heads surely rolled on that one. To recap, there were 4 title matches in the main card backed up with up and coming fighters trying to prove themselves. All in ONE night. What more could you ask for?

Preliminary Card

Welterweight bout

Peewee Herman (268010) vs James Kresh (272116)
Herman proved why he's undefeated in the QFC through an 18 second victory against Kresh. Herman had knocked out all 6 of his opponents, including 5 which ended in the first round. He's got some power out there!

Result: Herman by 1st round KO (Strikes)

Welterweight bout
Alberto Contador (258196) vs Saladin "Quick Sand" Hussain (258019)
Contador basically dominated this one but failed to finish Hussain, though Hussain seemed lost

£4£ Case Study: Tony "The Wrecking Ball" Bullard

Fighter profile of Tony Bullard by

Spencer Kilco reporting for £4£: The best for MMA News, Views and Reviews

I met with Tony the night before his EFC lightweight championship defence against Garrick Head at Executioner Get chopped last Wednesday. We at £4£ had him to win but unfortunately he lost by decision. Now with a record of 20-3 Bullard still holds the organisations welterweight championship in a division he has dominated. This is what made me interested to have a sit down and talk with Tony rather than the usual media obligation fighters pretend to enjoy.

We met at a coffee place New York is so famous for. Tony opted for a protein shake his camp had prepared and me, being a Londoner, wanted a beer but settled for coffee. I didn’t want to ask the obvious question: was he going to win? As it would have resulted in the same old answer: I’m going to beat him and I’m going to do it in this way… I wanted to start by discussing his family heritage.

You may or may not know that Bullard’s have fighting in their blood. Tony’s great grandad was a bare knuckle boxer and his father a pioneer in  the early days of MMA. Tony’s father was a great boxer putting on fights that helped put MMA on the map, all be it only ever on the lower card. And now Tony is helping kick start his brotherâ

Chainsaw Q&A

Fighter profile of Jack Shaw by Alika Webb

Q: Dear martial arts fans today I will pay a visit to Jack Shaw. Jack is a promising and still undefeated prospect in Epicity's light heavyweight division. He's currently riding an impressive six fight winning streak, winning all but his last fight by KO or TKO. Jack, you're scheduled to take on Frank Dozer on the first of august in Las vegas Nevada at the renowned Wandalay Bay arena. Frank might be on a three fight losing streak, but he's one of the most well rounded fighters you'll ever have faced. How are you preparing for such a big challenge?

Jack: I am the chainsaw, Jack Shaw! Chainsaws don't fear anything, they saw through the competition. When I step into that cage and the door locks, all sounds disappear and when the silence is at its loudest I crank start that chainsaw in my brain. The blades start to rev up and the noise is d

Ok ok, this was nice at the beginning but now I can't stand it anymore. It's this damned Sand Everywhere! Expect plenty of cuts tomorrow, and rashes and blister too, and maybe a few knock outs due to sand in a fighter's eyes. We're at the Underground of the island once again so let's take a look at the top 5 fights of this event...

#6 Sonny Corinthos v Victor Jordan

The Teflon Don comes to the leftovers with a 1-1 record. He's a veteran boxer who likes to load on his punches. His mediocre wrestling already cost him a kneebar loss but maybe he's improved since then. Victor is on a streak, a losing one. He's way too tall for a middleweight but maybe that will help him now because I'm expecting a boxing match here and the rea

It is 3rd event holding by Australia Fighters. Some fighters going to make their 1st bout.

Match #1: 265lbs

Deni Mukhtar (1-4-0) vs Mark Hunter (0-0-0)

Seemed Mukhtar doesn’t hesitate to fight a project fighter who has huge advantages in 3 disciplines while he leads only few in boxing. So far, Mukhtar has 4 lost in a row with 3 by decisions but he won his 1st fight by TKO. Meanwhile Hunter’s strength still unrevealed, only his manager knows it.

Match #2: 145lbs

John Crawford (0-1-0) vs Kasak Kusuk (0-1-0)

Crawford leads huge in wrestling, while Kusuk has a little in boxing and MT. Something to be considered is that they both could takedown their opponents but lost by submission which means they might be good in GnP skills.

Match #3: 205lbs

Junjun Beenay (2-0-0) vs Amelio Iglesias (0-2-0)

Spencer Kilco reporting for £4£: The best for MMA News, Views and Reviews

This Sunday night Highland Games have their middleweight title on line when "The Italian Brawler" Massimo Benvenuti (19-4) defends it for the first time in this third reign as middleweight champion!

185lbs Championship fight: Massa Hurmaaja vs Massimo Benvenuti

Benvenuti has been here before and is a confident champion. This third reign as champion comes after a decision win over Arnavut Sevket late last month. The Italian boxer has a great record with 12 KO finishes. Yet the champ is no stranger to the ground either, with great wrestling skills Benvenuti is a dangerous fighter who will look to bully Hurmaaja (18-5) in to making a mistake. The quicker he can end this main event the happier the champion will be with a confident title defence.

His challenger will be have the oppos

Main Event - Sandor Clegane versus Eddie Kiely (Heavyweight Title)

Over the previous 21 Vanquish events, one fighter has stood out as being THE dominant force in the organisation, that fighter is Sandor Clegane. Clegane (only 22 years of age) had won each of his previous four fights in the organisation, boasting a professional record of 9 wins and 1 loss. It is also important to note that the loss was conceded on his professional debut, meaning Clegane entered this fight looking for a ninth straight win.

His opponent was also a VCC veteran entering his sixth vanquish battle, with a VCC record of 4 wins 1 loss, that singular loss coming by way of fifth round TKO to guess who? None other than Mr Clegane. To rub the salt into the wounds t

Gunnar Lasson (4-3) Vs Nicklas Lidstrom (2-1)

For some reason my brain is absolutely adamant that I should type Larsson every time instead of Lasson. I suppose being a Celtic fan, my mind is so wrapped up in Henrick Larsson that it goes off on its on tangents.

Unfortunately for the Swede, is Swede the term of just a vegetable?, his current sporting run has not resembled that of the legendary soccer player. Gunnar joined HC with a 4-1 record and was looking like quite the snazzy submission snatcher. Since signing up with the promotion however, two defeats by way of knockout have dimmed the shine that once surrounded this competitor.

While his defence would say that the only two men he’s faced have went on to either challenge for the title, or outright win it, his prosecution would point to his grand total of 37 seconds inside the Highland Challengers cage. None the less, a win here will

Executioner: Lace Up
REVIEW

Yesterday, July 11, 2015, MMA fans head to the Liberty Dome as the sold out event Executioner Lace Up was held. With an outstanding lineup, featuring two title matches, a full 5250 attendance was attained. Lace Up features the third faceoff of the superheavyweights Clinton Offley and Barney Gumble.

Before this match, each of them scored 1-1 and Offley was the champ going in this one. Gumble managed to pull off with the win strategically in this one, gaining some critics.

To back it up, recently crowned middleweight champ Arnavut Sevket defends his title against the challenger Angel Face. Undercards were mostly filled with interesting fighters, mostly bantamweights and heavyweights. There were a total of 8 finishes, including the top 3 matches. Despite having a not so good main event, our tickets were still not wasted.
