![]() As all of you know, Syn legend and olympic gold medalist Santiago Colon retired at the age of 34 after defending his Syn MW belt succefully again early february. A sad moment for the sport, as it always sucks to see a legend hang up his gloves, but we can't blame him as I've been to the Bahamas before as well and must say that it's tempting to not want to stay there.
The Syn-staff wants to thank Colon and his manager Duphus, both absolute legends of the sport, for having been such a pleasure to work with and look forward to seeing some of his stall come to Syn again in the future. Congrats on all your achievements and we look for cont...

HIGHLAND ISLAND 13 REVIEW
Main Card by Callum McGregor
Prelims by Ferg uK
Polite Efficient (4-0) Vs Skip Gordon (3-0) – Light Heavyweight Championship
This one went down exactly as anticipated. Gordon used his punches and kicks to set up the clinch and Polite was willing to let his opponent do all the work in closing the distance. Inside, both men were extremely active in trying to elbow each other, almost comically so. Gordon was mixing it up with punches to the head and body and those seemed to be catching Polite off guard a bit. In the end, Gordon was the more active of the two inside and was able to steal the rounds, cruising to a Unanimous Decision victory and successfully defending his belt.
Skip Gordon wins by Unanimous Decision. STILL Light Heavyweight Champion
Ken Roussow (2-0) Vs CeeTee Fletcher (1-0) – Lightweight
We got to see a big more of Fletcher’s game here and we saw that he ha cont... |

Author: Runt
Event: GKNY 55 – 05.03.2016 @ The Liberty Done
Good evening fight fans!
Welcome to the first issue of GKNY Fight Preview. To kick us off, today we are having a peak at GKNY55. The famous “GAMMA Kids” brand will be lighting up the skylines in the local New York area on the 5th of March, packing out the Liberty Dome arena with some great fights on the card.
As a special gift for our first edition we will be previewing the full fight card. Let’s not waste any time and get down to the action!
#1 - Gonzalez (263382) vs Papin (259692) – 205lbs
The undercard kicks off with what could very well be a bloody slug fest. Jesse "Gorilla" Gonzalez takes on "Mr Right" Jean Pierre Papin. Gonzalez is 8 and 2 and on a one fight streak, and Papin is sitting pretty undefeated at 2 and 0. Both these guys like to stand and bang, but the key to this fight will be the clinch. Expect Papin to clinch early and start landing bombs from inside. Gonzalez can be a bleeder, so it could be a busy bout for the cut man.
Prediction: Papin by 1st round KO. Gonzalez has been knocked out twice in his career so far, and has a history of cutting. He won’t be able to match the control and power that Papin with bother him with in the clinch.
#2 - Gracie (264449) vs Walker (268683) – 205lbs
A classic tale of submission vs striking.
Huey "Young Master" Gracie is undefeated and definitely the favourite to take his opponents life. Four wins on the trot with three of those wins coming from creative submission. On the other side of the cage Kit "Phantom" Walker is ready to throw down. A striker on a one fight winni cont... |
Whats up guys! It's been a few events since I did a preview but now I have time so I won't stall - here is is
~UNDERCARD FIGHTS ~
(Current prediction record: 13-7)
#10 - Jay Smith vs. Mocanu Marian
Well at first glance, this fight seems like it should be Monacu's to win. He has a huge height advantage of 19 cm, and is 5 pounds heavier. The height will make it impossible for Jay to strike Mocanu, and the extra weight will make Mocanu hard to control on the ground. Mocanu is also the older fighter, and the more experienced fighter, with two fights already under his belt. With this said, the main hope for Jay Smith, is in the ground game - if Jay can take down Mocanu, then he shou cont... |
