GAMMA: Fabian Hoi Interview

Fighter profile of Fabian Hoi by Mentor Guru Corleone

#1 Question: Welcome to GAMMA! One fight and already a champion! Did you expect to pull of such a huge win in your first fight?

Fabian Hoi : Well, to be honest, I was. Prado is one hell of a champion, but I know that if I can KO Lil Wayne, that I can KO anyone. I studied my opponent very well and knew that I had the power and skills to get the job done. But let it be clear, Prado is a beast and I respect him a lot. His manager is a superfirendly guy and one hell of a manager. It feels great to become the champ. I love wearing those shiny belts!

The only thing that surpised me is how early I finished him.

#2 Question: You managed to win both the GAMMA and Syn titles at the age of 29y, how does the achievement feel?

Fabian Hoi: Feels like more is to follow. I'm still young enough to achieve more big goals. I want to achieve big things ; become top 10 p4p fighter and beat as many legends as possible One name is on my radar bigtime, the toughest guy to beat besides Lil Wayne, Connemara. I have mad respect for the guy but would love to test myself against him one day. I believe I can KO him as well.

#3 Question: Lukasz Wolek recently got promoted from the GAMMA: Contenders and said he can take on anyone in the division, what do you have to say about that?

I like the smell of ambit

War Dawg "Lt"

I have been training hard and been improving my skills as a martial artist and even more as a special forces operator.

Two tours in Iraq and one in Syria have made me twice the man I used to be. Some things that I've seen there shouldn't be seen by anyone but then again, its up to me and my team mates to make sure such stuff is no longer possible.

Ahsan Hamed on ROV Lightweight title defense

Fighter profile of Ahsan Hamed by Rain Thunder

Ahsan Hamed is the current ROV Lightweight world champion, that has a proffesional record of (5-2) with all 5 wins coming by way of KO/TKO. Under the banner of Ring of Violence organisation, Hamed is undefeated and has gathered all 5 of his wins here. A spectacular champion went to the outer world for superfights to try to gain glory, money and fame, but has failed in doing that and these failires have now tarnished his undefeated record and his winning streak. But Hamed is still looking to stack up a win column, and he has now returned to ROV to make his 1st Lightweight title defense. On May 14th, he will face a very uneasy opponent for him, South Korean grappler Lee Sang Seok (3-0).

Ahsan Hamed is well known for his devastating kicking ability in the octagon. 3 out of his 5 finishes have came by head kicks, and you can often see him batter his opponents legs, arms and ribs with these hard kicks with the shinbone. As his career progressed, Ahsan started showing improvement on his hands, making him one of the most versatile strikers in his ID restriction today.  Also, having defended against 88.2% of his opponent's attempted takedowns, this makes him an obviously great sprawl and brawl type of fighter.

But Ahsan has quite a flaw in his game, that he is looking to erase - his grappling techniques are basic and he is often making critical errors on the ground, which make him very vulnarable against the guys that know what they're doing on the mat. Lee Sang Seok, a world-

GAMMA: Yearly statistical update

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

GAMMA opened its doors on the 29th of May 2009 and held the first official event on the 7th of June, we have held 555 events, ranking us 3rd all time, but among all those fights offered, just 111 managers have actually made it all the way to a GAMMA title fight, even fewer have actually won a title.

Last year we created the first fully updated list which includes the total fights, wins, total title fights, total super fights and "profile fights" (combination of title fights + super fights).

The Legends list includes all GAMMA managers which have participated in a title fight at least once (you do not need to win the title fight to get onto the list though). The following managers were ranked first time in GAMMA:

Newcomers which had at least one title fight over the past 12 months were:

Kjell Svärd (62670)
Al Van dal (2071)
Alika Webb (62511)
Cause McDubree (17807)

SP-ICON: MARSHAL VS ONCHOOTO Preview and Predictions

Editorial by Sliced Bread

Welcome to the preview of an incredible event.  Since I joined Steel Penn – ICON two months ago as the interview writer, this is by far the best, most stacked event they have produced and I would like to produce a preview worthy of that billing.  It will be the same structure as always; with the result predictions for the prelims, and then a little bit of analysis followed by what I think will happen in the fight.  This main event is sure to produce fireworks; the rest of the card will do likewise.  Here we go with some quick-fire Prelim predictions:

Main Card:

K.J Choi vs Tural Agaev
Analysis:
We kick off the main card with an exciting battle of two of the top heavyweights in the organisation, great matchmaking to start the card with a bang here.  K.J Choi; at 40 years of age, is considered by many to be past his prime.  These arguments have weight as he hasn’t fought for a belt in any organisation in years.  However, he is coming off of two impressive first round stoppages, and with a win over former two time championship contender Tural Agaev, his stock could rise higher than it has in years, and he could put his name right in the mix as a contender in an exciting but shallow Heavyweight Division.
Tural Agaev is a stud; unfortunately, he is a stud that gets cut a hell of a lot.  If he could stop getting cut, he could well have been a two time champion rather than contender.  He will be out to make a statement here; he is frustrated as he just fought for the title, and probably feels he could h
