After losing his title in his last fight, Alvernne looks to rebound and get back in the title fight tonight against the all around finisher Dawkins. Both fighters have sensational boxing and muay thai, the difference between them is their ground games.  Canberra Cage Fighter held its first event CCF #1 on Sunday night, and what it lacked in ticket sales, it made up for in quality of fights.
265+lbs – Terry Thunder v Adam Eater
The first Undercard bout was between two giants, in the 265+lbs Division, with Terry “Down Under” Thunder (1-4-0) taking on Adam “Ant” Eater (1-0-0). With Thunder’s poor form taken into account, this one wasn’t expected to last the distance, and Eater made sure of that when he lands a massive elbow from side control, then follows it up with three more before the Ref stepped in to save Thunder. 2:33 Round 1 TKO (Strikes) to Adam Eater, who will go on to fight for the Title at CanCage 3.
205lbs – Jordan Jackson v Barry McKinnon

 Editorial by Not many have heard of Canberra Cage Fighter (CCF), or ZonE Clothing for that matter. The reason for that, is due to the relative opening dates of both companies. But what they lack in experience, they certainly make up for in passion, and enthusiasm.
Canberra Cage Fighter already has two Events booked, with Zone sponsoring both events. The first event is a 6 bout Fight Card, with four Titles on the line, plus a "Number One" contender fight. The second event consists of a 7 bout Fight Card.
Being a start up organization is tough,Canberra Cage Fighter having only been running in Sydney for one week. ZonE Clothing for roughly the same time. The two Companies pairing up to benefit each other, and the fighters that fight for the organization can only be a good thing.

Santiago A. my childhood wasnt the best i didnt know my dad and my mum wasnt always around soo i had to grow up pretty fast to look after my baby sister.
interviewer Q. what age where you when you 1st started mma and what got you into it ?
Santiago A. i think i was around 10 when i was met my coach i had just been busted for stealing food for me and my little sister and the owner was giving me a beatdown. even as a ten year old i could hold my own :P after he had broke it up and offerd to pay for the stuff he then offerd me a spot in his gym.

 FOLLOW UP STORY
SYDNEY- As our continued coverage of Sydney based fighter Zach Didion, we pull into the drive way at our normal 9 am time. Something seems different. We have gotten used to seeing 18 year old Didion out front, preparing for a long run to start his day. Today there is nobody out front. It's seems quiet, almost like something is wrong. I grab my recorder, paper and pencil and head towards the front door.
Before I can reach the front step the door flies open and there, screaming, jumping with tears, appears Zach. I almost can't understand what he says, half thinking something horrible has happened, then I pick up on what he's saying. "Hell yeah baby! I got it! Finally!" So just 1 week after we wrote about this young talent hard road to his MMA career, the dream has come to fruition.
Julian Cisneros of the Pegasus Cagefighting League has signed Zach to a 8 fight contract. Financials of the deal are undisclosed, but speculation is that Cisneros has helped pay the way to move the fighter from Sydney to St.Petersburg were the league is located.
"If I have to move to St.Petersburg that's what I'll do, hell if I had to move to Timbuktu I would move there." says a jubilant Didion. The fighter already has made several phone calls to family and friends and has most of his belongings packed. His flight leaves at noon this same day. During this time here, trainer Jason Houston arrives. There is a tearful good bye, filled with different emotions.

bh.yea well basicaly i just signed a new 4 fight contrat with bkc last month and i was quite excited as ive heard nothing but good storys about them and i had fought on there show aswell which i was paid good and was well looked after.but now imcoming to my point i won my last fight in a good war wth a tough guy to bring me back to 2 and 2.after the fight i sat down with my manager and said start looking to get me a fight as i want to keep the ball rolling so anyay he went away started looking and he found two guys which would be a tough test but a winnable fight aswell.he went to bkc and said about these guys a number of times but without a reply.but then today they come with some guy whose skills levels are way better than mine and expect me to fight him hahahahahaha after not answeing to the guys we wanted you think im going to get in there with a guy whose skill levels are better than mine you must be joking

I just wanted to follow up and say that, there are a lot of ways to combat this. Im sure you all are playing MMA Tycoon because you have some affiliation or interest in MMA or some sort of fighting art, and this alone, this interest in an art, a fighting technique tells me you are a fighter. Thats right, YOU ARE A FIGHTER. So be strong, be strong and hold on to hope. Life is like an old watch, the one that has hands. What you see is only the face with the hour, minutes & seconds hands moving. But in reality there are wheels that are rotating behind all this.
There are things in life that happen, that we dont really understand. There are detours that happen to us that may seem odd but in the end it begins to make sense. Trust me I have seen these stories take place many times and it always, always seems to amaze me. It gives me my belief in us, in humanity.
Let me tell you a story: When I was younger the only thing that a high school grad could if they didnt get into college was to enlist. It was that or get stuck in a dog on dog gang land war that was consuming every young kid at a rate that could make F1 racers proud. A lot of my friends did. In a rare move, The Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea, a country known for its reclusive nature, let one of its citizens out of the country. Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un has let the country’s best fighter Bong Ki-duk leave the country in an effort to showcase North Korea’s superiority in hand to hand combat. The North's foreign ministry spokesman released a statement about Bong Ki-duk’s history saying “Bong Ki-duk has been training since he was a baby.
