EVO 251 Preview

Event Preview: EVO 251: Tsoi vs Tallon 2
EVOLUTION (288K+)
2016-06-25, London, Wombley Arena
Author:Jack Walian

Main event, Bantamweight title fight: Sean Tallon 19-9 (3-3 EVO) v Viktor Tsoi 21-5 (6-0 EVO)

Viktor Tsoi has cemented himself as one of the best bantamweights of all time, and is now laying the foundation for a claim to be one of the greatest fighters of his generation. The man has virtually no holes in his game, his grappling has always been one of the main tools in Tsoi's arsenal with many of his early wins being submissions. As his career has progressed we have seen him develop a lethal striking game which has shown in his last five fights where he's stopped his opponents with striking alone.

Facing off against him on saturday though, is one of the few fighters who it could be claimed have a better striking pedigree than Tsoi. Tallon is a former EFFA and CEC champion, so it goes without saying he is one of the best kick boxers in the world. The big questionmark has been his grappling, his last loss where he lost the CEC belt, was a split decision where the grappling of Titan Rain edged him the fight. After that loss though he has looked phenomenal walking through the top contenders of the Evo bantamweight division before crowning his winning streak with an impressive decision win over current Syn champion Geralt of Rivia.

The last time these two fought Tallon showed he had the edge with his technical striking in the first round, but in

Bushido 7: Zhang vs. Westerberg Main Event Featherweight Bout Lei "Payday" Zhang (2-1-0, 2-0-0) vs. Gunnar "Mountain" Westerberg (2-1-0, 2-0-0)

The Main Event is one to look out for as two of the brightest prospects in the Featherweight division will battle it out to prove who is more deserving of a shot at the Champion.

In the division's #3 spot sits Lei Zhang, a Muay Thai specialist from China and he will face the man currently in the #5 seat, the Swedish Boxer Gunnar Westerberg. A match between these two has been lingering on the horizon for a while, as the two have previous fought alongside one another on two different occasions, once on Bushido

1: Jones vs. Seung-Jin, and a second time on Bushido 4: Whitehouse vs. Schmidtt, with each man winning on both appearances. Zhang employed a similar game-plan in both of his previous wins, where he aims to pull his opponent into a clinch and work them over with vicious elbows until they crumble. W

Syn 452 Preview

Event Preview: Syn 452 - Slinga vs. Turpin 2
Synchronicity
2016-06-27, Los Angeles, LA Memorial Colossuseum
Author:Jack Walian

 Lightweight: Matt Chabala 24-13-2NC (6-6 Syn) v Tsar Bomba 13-5 (2-2 Syn)

Opening up the card is a fight between two fighters of completely different stock, if you're looking for a fighter who exploits his opponents weakness and slowly take away their will to live them in Chabala is your guy. Bomba on the other hand comes out both fists flying, and while his last four matches has ended in a decision it's not for lack of trying and it could be argued it's a result of the step up in competition from joining the Synchronicity organization.

Chabala is coming into this fight on a down note in his storied career, in what will be his 40th fight he has to try and turn around his good fortunes after losing five of his last six fights. His career has definetly had some highs though, as not so long ago he was making his run through the Synchronicity 155 division almost becoming a main eventer before losing a narrow decision to Eiji Kawashima at Syn 392 afterwards it's mostly been downhill and an undefeated Syn record has quickly become 6-6, will he be able to mount a comeback against bomba? If so Look for Chabala's counter takedowns to get the fight down on the ground and away from Bomba's arguably superior striking.

And hwo can blame him, 9 knockouts in 13 wins, the guy is a

GAMMA 565 Review

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

Renan St. Juste holds a impressive veteran record of 59-20-2 (W-L-D), finishing the majority of his fights through TKO or KO. Although St. Juste has veered off GAMMA for very brief periods in his career, St. Juste has always maintained a keen loyalty to GAMMA. Gale Hawthorne,

St. Juste's manager, recognizes GAMMA"s top position in MMA(Tycoon) and has always directed St. Juste back to GAMMA.

Maintaining a dominant position in the welterweight division, St. Juste has fought the majority of his GAMMA tenure as the champion, and occassionally, as the challenger.

Known for his serious KO power, St. Juste is an elite level kickboxer and striker, never finished by strikes (his two TKOs were by cuts).

"RIP" Rufus McTearson is a warrior to be feared. Holding a 34-14-2 record under the management of Dom Jaehnke, from which the majority of his career played out in GAMMA, half of his victories have come through TKO or KO. Never finished by strikes, Rufus McTearson's chin has yet to be tested.

Known for his versatile standup and quick strikes, McTearson is a vicious and versatile fighter. As the reigning GAMMA WW Champion, Rufus McTearson seeks to defend his title against his archrival, Renan St. Juste.
