Lebowski Island Achievers 1: This Isn't Vietnam
Â
Event Recap
Â
145 lbs
Masa "Tiger" Hattori (1-0-0 MMA) vs. Bobby "IRA" Sands (2-0-0 MMA)
Â
Hattori comes out aggressive with his striking, tagging the noticeably smaller Irish teenager Sands with alternating jabs and body punches and seeming like he may be able to connect at will. That changes in a second though as a sloppy attempt at a combination is countered with a beautiful takedown into side control for "IRA".
Â
Hattori is in huge trouble - he does not want to be here at all! The Japanese boxer wants to get a leg back in for half guard but Sands has his wrist tied up in a shoulder lock. Hattori is kicking and flailing to get a better position but there's nothing he can do here and that arm is at a grotesque angle now. Now "Tiger" is tapping, and that's all she wrote - 19-year-old Bobby Sands is still undefeated on The Island!

Rev Island Let's Bang 1 Event Review
Â
Another successful event from Revolution Island, Let's Bang 1 thrilled a nearly sold-out crowd at The Underground on Friday with only one fight going the distance and thrilling upsets and finishes throughout.Â
Â
155 lbs - Emmitt Brown Jr. (0-1-0 MMA, 0-0-0 RI) vs. Phil Morris (debut)
Â
In a dominant effort from "Doc" Brown Jr., the dirty boxer paid no heed to his opponent's submission ability, trusting in his wrestling as he put the much larger man in the clinch and shut him down completely, shrugging off some sloppy takedown attempts while hammering Morris with heavy punches to the head and body. Badly hurt near the minute mark, Morris was unable to recover from the onslaught and ate several more punches than were really necessary, with Brown criticizing the referee for the late stoppage cont... |

SFC 1 The Rise was the first event we have put on since starting the company back, it took place in beautiful London England, all the fighters put on a helluva show and they didn't let us down. Almost a sellout at The Underground arena the fans were going crazy for the fighters, we will for sure be back to The Underground.
Â
The Main Event featured Middleweights Leo Bow and Chris Wilson, a exciting match indeed ended rather quick! It only took Leo 1:33 to end Wilson by brutal TKO. I think Bow has a bright future here in this company.  At the Post fight conference he was asked who he would like to fight next, his answer was "fight, fight, fight, I want to fight whoever!" We look forward to seeing him in his next fight.
 Â
Â
The Co main event was Cameron Johnson vs Konor MekGregor, the two Welterweights clashed for only 56 seconds! That's all it took for Johnson to wrap things up! Here is a live play by play from the announcer right when the finish happened, "Johnson is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops MekGregor like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight" What a brutal series of punches that was. This man is a true threat for anyone in that division.Â

On 2016-09-16, in front of the eyes of 1875 exalted spectators at Hayashi's Lounge - Las Vegas, was held the spectacular DFC Mayhem 10. Everyone was excited and eager to witness the main event where two Middleweight titans clashed for the DFC's Middleweight Championship title!
185 lbs 3             Jon Lewis            Willie Stroker    TKO (Strikes)     1             02:18   Â
Â
The opening fight of the event presented to the fans two 19 year old youngsters, who were aiming to win the hearts of the audience. Lewis started as the more aggressive fighter in the clash and was checking every possible option to get the win. He first got Stroker into clinch, but then Jon Lewis saw that things aren't working his way so he managed to get out of it. Then things started working for Lewis.
When the clock was about to show that there are 3 minutes left in the round, Lewis landed a perfect punch combination, which resulted into opening a nasty cut on Stroker's face. This obviously enraged Willie Stroker a lot, who replied with a strong punch combo which staggered Lewis backwards. Then came Stroker's decision to enter in the clinch, which he should probably regret, because his poor clinch attempt was followed by furious punch combination counter by Jon Lewis, which put Stroker to sleep! KT Kids will be hosting the first event at the dusty ol' Hard Knocks arena on The Island this Friday, 30 September, 2016. The main card will feature a suite of highly-hyped regional high school kickboxing champions. The undercard, still in the works, will likely feature some talented up-and-comers familiar to KT Kids fans: Ward Henry, Krzysztof "Destroy" Szczepaniakiwicz, Harry Gardiner, and Kai Tee are all rumored to be fighting that night. For now, let's have a look at the locked-in-stone main card.
Â
Opening up the main card we have Chong Starbowski vs. Abed Barnes. Starbowski is coming off a brutal loss to K.S. Destroy in his last fight, barely surviving the first round on shakey legs, only to be dropped on the first punch in the second. Starbowski hopes to derail the hype train of Abed "Kick Puncher" Barnes. Barnes is making his professional debut, but carries a lot of hype after winning a Colorado state champmionship in the IKF 170-pound division. This one pro cont... |
