Championship Series 170
Event Preview (935209)
Hello HARDCORE MMA fans!
Today has been a long time coming, and we are on the cusp of the first great leap made by the HFC to establish each of it's weight classes with a legitimate champion and #1 Contender! This is the first card to host these fights, so let us get started!
Silva vs Tau
This fight is from the 185 weight class and is not a part of the tournament entries. But these fighters need to get more fights under their belt and look to take a step towards earning that #1 contender spot in the not so distant future.
Silva (1-0) comes into this fight as a newcomer to the HFC. With several armature fights in the TWGC, and a win in his only professional fight in the CEC, Silva will be confident in his ability to take this fight to the ground and dominate his opponent.
Tau (1-1) also has a background in cont...

A few years back we profiled a young "up and comer" Domonic "No Chance" Dilbrandt when he was coming off a 2 straight award winning victories after having a rocky start to his career being submitted twice in his first two bouts.
Since talking to Dilbrandt he has won 5 of his last 6 fights with all wins coming by (T)KO and three of them being title fights in which he won in dominant fashion. Domonic was just 17 last time we profiled him, he is now 20 year old with a five fight win streak and two title defenses to his record. With 7 of his last 8 fights being wins including a win in a rematch against rival Sami Steele to avenge a decision loss, Domonic is looking seemingly unstoppable but we know mma is just as unforgiving as it is forgiving so only time will tell if he is able to keep up the momentum and continue his way up the rankings.
Domonic has definitely learned the "art of grappling" so to speak becoming a brown belt over the years and is now a Brown Belt in cont... |

Perhaps trivial news to others, but the newest gym in Las Vegas, Desert Fitness and Nutrition, just signed a deal to supply it's fighters with vending machine supplements. Iron Wolf Discount Supplements' products can now be found in the growing gym's vending machines. Iron Wolf, located in New York, is known for being a reputable supplement dealer with brand new 159Q products.
Desert Fitness and Training is an up-and-coming gym, with elite coaches, and high-quality sparring opportunites. This young gym has quickly proven to provide valuable training and sparring for its members, including RRFC 205-Champion, Rahim Shabazz. The addition of a supplement partner for the gym is key to the gym's business plan, according to owner, Jeff Scott.
"We have a plan in place, which includes the hiring of additional elite coaches. We just need to grow our numbers a little more, and I think this partnership is an important step toward that goal." |

HFC Fight Night 3
Tuesday nights card features only four fights, but two of them are for the championship!
Billy Bryant vs Darren Lloyd
Our first undercard of the night features Billy Bryant (0-1) the coach himself, squaring off against Darren Lloyd (1-1). These two light heavyweights have contrasting styles as Bryant is more of a striker with some wrestling while Lloyd is a BJJ brown belt.
Lloyd is 1-1, but his only fight int he HFC resulted in a win when he choked out Diego Costa with a nasty Guillotine. He'll be looking to get this fight on the ground and do the same to Bryant.
Byrant, on the other hand, lost his first and only MMA match via referee stoppage to Van Barle at HFC 1. He will be looking to score a victory here, by KO if possible, to establish himself in the HFC and show his loss is a fluke.
Prediction: Lloyd gets the fight to the ground and finds a way to lock in a s cont... |
