GP 33 O Neil vs Nemesis Preview

205lbs Title Fight - Geezers Palace light heavyweight champ Mickey O Neil is set to defend his crown in what will be an outstanding rematch against the young and hungry Zork Nemesis. Their last contest was a rather one sided affair in which O Neil nearly finished the fight with a crippling right hand, rocking his opponent and sending him to the canvas. Nemesis showed true grit and determination by gutting it out and fighting until the final bell and he knows that he can take some of O Neil's hardest shots while retaining the heart of a lion. Flaunting a 3 fight win streak and coming fresh off a brutal head kick knockout victory gives a huge momentum advantage to the challenger. He also cut a fair less amount of weight than the champion which might benefit him in the later rounds. Despite the kicking abilities of Nemesis, O Neil has a daunting muay thai advantage and will surely be looking to expose his foe mainly in the clinch.

185lbs - Hacksaw Jim Duggan will be hopefully making weight as he is scheduled to fight mean muggin Russian Eyeonly Fuckwell. This fight is actually a rematch stemming from their first bout in April. Duggan surprisingly beat this slimy Russian by form of TKO, snapping his 4 fight win streak. The styles of these middleweight titans are, as Mike Goldberg would say, virtually

SPFT 29 Preview

Event Preview: SPFT 29: Bill vs. Hearts
THE STEEL PENN FIGHTING TEMPLE
2012-08-12, St Petersburg, Hard Knocks - St Petersburg
Author:

Main event: 205 lb Championship- Buffalo Bill (4-0) vs. AJ Hearts (2-0)

- In what could be the biggest event in SPFT history, Buffalo Bill takes on AJ Hearts in the main event for the 205 lb championship. Both fighters are undefeated in SPFT and have outstanding overall records (15-0 vs. 11-2). Bill has powerful striking and if he gets his hands on Hearts, he should retain the title. If Hearts can bring the fight to the ground, anything could happen

Prediction: Buffalo Bill, TKO, RD 2

Co-Main event: 185 lb Championship- Rafal Dabrowski (4-1) vs. Boris Yurinov (3-0)

-In our second title fight of the evening, Rafal Dabrowski looks to roll through Boris Yurinov in the Middleweight division. Beating Yurinov won’t be an easy task, as this fight is dead even on all fronts. Dabrowski potentially holds the better grappling skills, but it would be a surprise if he can get the fight to the ground. This should be a back and forth battle to the bitter end.

Prediction: Boris Yurinov, Unanimous Decision

Rivals XLIV: Blaze vs. Manlucas ***** Fight Pre-view*****

Merchandise Partner: Hell's Kitchen Lab Corp (159.49 $150)

WOW what an unbelievable event Rivals has coming up on 10 August 2012. With two title fights and so heavy hitting contenders in their division the seats will be packed with premium pricing expected for this talented line up.

135 lbs. 5 x 5 Minute Rounds Ricardo Ramirez (9-2) v Lee Kawasaki (6-0) 135 lbs. title

We will see the undefeated ground demon try and keep his run alive as he contends against the All-round champion Ramirez who totally outclasses the challenger in all aspects of the stand-up and with one loss of his 2 losses coming from a submission the chance is slim but Kawasaki is gambling on getting the game to the ground and brining about another submission loss. However the odds are in favour of the Champion winning by KO in the first.

155 lbs. 5 x 5 Minute Rounds Tyson Blaze (10-3) v Ramon Manlucas (7-1) 155 lbs. title

Being confident in his abilities the Champion is secure in the knowledge he outclasses the Challenger heavily in Muay Thai and Wrestling and can match him in Boxing and BJJ, so how could he possibly lose? The Challenger is looking for the win with his BJJ 4 Submission victories and the glaring flaw in the Champion as he has lost all three of

Returning To MMA Tycoon - Part 2

About Me: Chris Dewing

First of all thank you very much to everyone that sent me a message welcoming me back to the game, and also to the Tycoon Times guys for publishing my ramblings. The responses I got all encouraged me to continue writing about what I'm going through in my "re-birth", so that's why there's this follow up article!

The first problem I had when I decided to come back was the complete disaster zone that my fighters had become. Every single one of them had stopped training and left their gyms, and of course that mean that their stats had suffered significantly. I went through the process of signing them all up to new gyms and planning their training schedules, however my stupidity caused me to put my best fighter in a gym that hadn't been maintained for three months. It took me two days to work that out. After that it was the painful process of restocking every fighters' clothing and nutrition supplies, something that may have caused me to quit there and then if the "save all" button wasn't there.

The way I used to train my fighters was very specific, they would all work on building up one area of their game by sparring and training mainly in one field. I don't have that luxury any more, the majority of my fighters are now aged 28+ and aren't going to learn much new now, all I am hoping they can do is get close to where they were before, anything else is a bonus. I'm guessing that their age is almost certainly the reason behind the lack of pops I've been getting, just 1 in the first three days to be exact.

I made the decision to start building up a new roster of fighters and replacing some of the old guys, the first one to go being CJ Dewing. This was the very first fighter I created and obviously was named after myself, he also won my very first fight and got my very first title shot (which he lost). It was a hard decision to release him, in fact I would have retired him if I had known about that option beforehand, but it's a new start and I need to have new fighters to do that. I tried to bring in some free agents to give me a chance to get some ready made fighters, but my manager hype has dropped to ridiculously low levels so I'm not expecting to win any of them.

The first new fighter I created was a guy called Edgar van der Houst, a combination of Edgar van der Hoogenband from the WMMA series and a deliberate mis-spelling of Ernesto Hoost. I didn't look into any new developments of building fighters and just went with what I knew, I built a Sprawl and Brawl type with strong Boxing and Wrestling, as well as giving him the 3 characteristics I always use; Granite Chin, KO Power, Fast Learner. I have no idea if those are the best ones to use, but that's what I've always gone for. I've bought him some stamina nutrition and started work on his conditioning, that was my practice before so again I've stuck to what I know. He's popped twice

Fighter profile of Gildarts Clive by

Ladies and Gentleman, today we will be sitting down with one of the best if not the best big man in 4 Kings Amsterdam, none other that the 4 King's HW tournament finalist "Captain America" Steve Rogers!

Interviewer: It is an honor to have you here, Mr. Rogers.

Rogers: Thanks man, its also an honor to get invited here. though, i think that your introduction is quite wrong, honestly. im the best HW in 4 Kings. period. no need for that "one of the best" and shit like that.

Interviewer: Im sorry, Mr. Rogers. i just thought that since you are still not the champ, and there are hell of a lot tough heavyweights in 4 Kings, its difficult to determine who is the best, really.

Rogers: Haha, Im just joking, man. i have huge respect for the big guys out there, especially the reigning champ. and i gotta agree with you there, the competition is really fierce at HW division,in fact that's one of the reasons why i joined this org, besides having the classiest org owner in Mr. Dee Early. *ahem(hoping to get a

Harry Bush vs Luis Royo

The Hitman, Harry Bush will finally take on Luis Head Hunter Royo in an extremely interesting fight that will no doubt test the two of the divisions biggest men. These two 270lbs fighters are not looking for anything but a pure old fashioned knockout. How do you know? Because neither of them have gone for anything other than a knockout in their illustrious career. See At one time, both of these men were once in the top 100 as far as pound for pound is concerned, knocking out every opponent they came across. A few losses here and there ended up putting them below standards however and both had fallen off the charts. Now, these two men are looking to get back into the worlds best ranking as they focus on taking each other o

Claymore Elite Combat

205lbs : Jack Worthington v Corporate Slave

Worthington opened his CEC account on the wrong end of a close decision, that loss only spurred him on to become better and when he returned he got himself his first win in our organisation, even though it was another close one he was the man with his hand raised. He has the ability to knock guys out but he will be tested here due to the fact he is against a completely unknown quantity. Slave has never fought in mma, unusual that he finds himself in an org like this without being tested but he comes from a top camp and is highly thought of amongst those fighters so an opportunity was given.

170lbs : Ben Schaefer v Rambeau Balbeaua

Schaefer lost his CEC debut via strikes a few months back and hasn't been heard of since, we didn't know what was happening with him but it seems he is back and ready to go. He faces Balbeaua, a man on a three fight losing streak but has the talent to cause problems. These guys need a win, on paper they have the potential to climb the ranks here but that potential needs to be turned into wins.

265lbs : Jack Slater v Rand James
