FCB 34 Review

Event Review: FCB 34 Stugats vs Keyman
Valhalla: Tokyo
2011-12-03, Tokyo, Hayashi's Lounge - Tokyo
Attendance:2,000, Event Rating:142
Author:Kurt Hustle

Tokyo’s Hayashi’s Lounge was packed with 2000 screaming fans on the 3rd of December, all to see FCB 34, and no-one went home disappointed from this event! With an event rating of 142.43 it proved once again why Full Contact Brawlers is one of the best up and coming Orgs in Tycoon land, and with that said lets get on with the action that made the event such a success!

Genma Saotome vs. Toshi Antos

The night started at Welterweight with two fighters looking to kick start their careers after indifferent starts. I had expected this one to be more of a stand up brawl, but it surprised everyone when very quickly Antos countered a clinch attempt into a takedown and found himself in Full Mount! Unfortunately he didn’t do much with it and after some stalling Saotome got himself into Half Guard, and he quickly advanced to Full Guard before pushing Antos off and standing back up, showing BJJ skills way above his White belt status. Saotome used his superior Boxing to some good effect before being taken back down and, after receiving some head and body shots, getting Rocked around the minute mark. Showing great heart Saotome survived and even went on to dominate the next

KC"s Corner: Q & A with Scott Speed

Fighter profile of Scott Speed by Kc Cooper

Hey all you Tycoon fight fans, KC Cooper here with the first installment of "KC's Corner" a Q & A with some of the world's best fighters you may have never heard of. Our first sitdown is with #4 ranked Featherweight in the world, Scott Speed. Here is what he had to say.........

You were born in Moscow, Russia. What was it like growing up in your neighborhood???
Growing up in Moscow was hard, the only outlet I had was fighting. That's where I learnt to fight, on the streets. Got quite a few KO's to my name before I ever stepped into a cage!

In your first professional fight, you were known mostly as a boxer and it showed with an 18 second knockout, how did that first win feel???
I had confidence in my hands, I knew I could win, but getting that first 'W' meant everything to me and to win in the way I did really proved to me that I had chosen the right path.

Your first professional organization was NFC Challengers in Helsinki, which is w

Bankrupting BankRupt round 3 preview!

Event Preview: Syn Euro: BRBR MDT RD3
Synchronicity Europe
2011-12-10, Helsinki, Kamppi Arena
Author:

Two rounds down in the Bankrupting BankRupt Million Dollar tournament. The third round may be the most exciting of them all! We have several great fights in store for this week.
Hezekiah Munson v Budo Rei –Munson comes in having fought two really tough fights already in the tournament against relative unknowns. He again pulls one of the least experienced guys left in the tournament. The luck of the draw has really been in Munson’s favor, but he doesn’t overlook anyone. His camp claims he has prepared for this fight like a wildman. Rei has also come prepared for this fight. He continues to improve with every day of training he gets. He knows he is a huge underdog in this fight and the tournament, but he doesn’t care. He wants to go out and prove the ney sayers wrong.

Kron Gracie v Spotted Cow- “The Future” has come in looking to become the present. He has long been considered one of the biggest under achievers in the game, but now Kron is beginning to live up to his potential. It’s like watching Neo finally realize he is “The One” in “The Matrix.” After submitting Richard davenport’s #1 project in round #2 of the tournament, Kron comes into round #3 determined to shut the critics the f*ck up. Spotted Cow on the other hand is really impressing in the tournament. In the first round he defeated a heavier Matt Sabre, and in round #2 he knocked off young HW prospect Koichi Kano. One of the top welterweights in the game, Cow arrived at the tournament letting everyone know size doesn’t matter. Will size matter? Will Gracie finally realize there is no spoon? Find out this weekend!

Pyyno Janis v Ugga Bugga- This may be the fight to watch this weekend! The unheralded Ugga Bugga has become the Cinderella story of the

Pegasus Cagefighting League, Fight Organization, St Petersburg
Company profile by Julian Cisneros

Pegasus Cagefighting League has had a long history, spanning 160+ events but has not been able to maintain its desired 200 active fighters on roster as it once did.

The story of any long-lived organization is filled with frustration and glory but in this business, owners and managers always have to be ready for the worst.  Here at Pegasus Cagefighting League, the days of glory are far behind but gladly we still maintain a budget larger than we need.  For this reason, as it is customary of it's contracts, PCL wants to offer ANY fighter who wants to make a comback or who has not fought in a long time a chance to do so with 1-2 fight deals.

We prefer 6-fight contracts because we like to

Synchronicity Europe

Synchronicity Europe, Fight Organization, Helsinki
Company profile by

I would like to happily announce that the organization formerly known as Scandinavian Fighting Championship is now known as Synchronicity Europe. We at Synchronicity Europe are proud to be apart of the Synchronicity family and work with the great managers that make the original Synchronicity the greatest org. in the game. This is the first step in a bright future for Synchronicity Europe, and we hope to become an org. just as respected as the main Syn' organization in Las Vegas. Hopefully this will open many doors for the great managers whose fighters make their home in Synchronicity Europe. I will be trying my best to make the Tycoon gaming experience the most fun it can be for the managers in my organization. There will be some other changes to come, I have already added posters and began main card write ups, after the Million Dollar Tournament winds down.

I would also like to announce the arrival of Joe Pepsi as Master Artist for Synchronicity Europe. He wil

MMA Breakdown With Caleb Smith

Editorial by

Wake the dog and call the neighbours, it’s that time again! It’s time for Caleb Smith’s MMA column summarizing the last month in MMA.

Sorry for the delay on this edition, as we had thanksgiving I was off my computer for a while (boo!).

But yeah, let’s get this show started; what a big month for MMA, Let me start here with this video showing highlights from Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar from Spike TV in 2005 , widely considered the best fight in MMA history. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0gKFvWWyRE

This at the time was the most important fight in UFC history because it gathered a ton of new viewers and it was the first UFC event on cable.

Now let’s see the fox debut of UFC, Velasquez vs. Dos Santos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfUJpBZ_gNo

I can show the full fight of this because it lasted 64 seconds… let that sink in. Yes 64 seconds of fighting on a 60 minute broadcast. Well at least it gathered a crap load of new viewers for the UFC due to it being live on FOX.

It was followed by UFC 139’s Instant Classic main event between 2 pride legends Dan Henderson and Mauricio Shogun Rua. The First ever non title 5 round main event to go the distance , it has been taped as the new gold standard for MMA fights. There is no Highlight video up yet unfortunately but here’s there individual Highlight reels http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmIbM16liGU

Let’s not forget the other FOTY candidate on that night Bellator’s Alvarez vs Chandler. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HziG9DBfJf0 Thank you bellator for posting your full fights online in HD!

Anyway….

In MMA Tycoon we had our own huge
