MMA fans all around the world, New York’s fastest rising MMA organization, Survival of the Fittest, is proud to present to you SOTF 17: You Only Live Once, an event that will be held on Sunday the 4th of November 2012, live from the Credit Card Center arena in NYC, and will be presented to you in association with our merchandise partners Canadian Fighter Clothing. This event will be packed with exiting fights, and will headlined by the lightweight bout between Richard Dawkins and Toshihiro Kai. Now let’s get our fight per fight recap started:
Heavyweight Dave "8 Pint" Panter had his first MMA fight June 21st. He started with a bang, knocking Andrzej Michaski out cold at the 4:24 mark in the first round. Just one month later Panter followed his impressive debut with another first round KO, this time over Lucifer Dael (1-0 at the time). Dael lasted only 1:37! It looked like Dave panter was on his way.
Then it happened. Panters manager took a powder! After a 2-0 start with two first round KO's, Panter was left high and dry, with no one to lean on to get him fights, sponsors, or any of the other help that a young fighter needs. Three long months go by with nothing happening for this talented young fighter. He must have wondered if hw was ever going to fight again. Then, in early October, Panter got his break. New fight manager Mike Dixon saw this "young gun" and new he wanted him in his stable. Panter needed a manager in the worse way, and Dixon loved what he saw in Panter. A marriage made in fighters heaven!
Doctor's today revealed that Lone Wolf MMA fighter Rodney Holmes has brain damage after participating in the IMMA Beat that Ass LHW tournament. Holmes was rushed to hospital following his exit from the brutal tournament to Binzo Binzo in the semi finals, in what was a shock defeat for the highly favored Holmes. "He never looked himself in that fight. Not only was Holmes favorite to beat Binzo but many believe he was also favorite to take home the 1 million cash prize" said Holmes' manager.
Holmes took over a total 120 head strikes in the tournament which doctor's believe is the cause of the fighters illness. The official medical diagnosis is "traumatic brain injury (TBI) following physical trauma or head injury" according to Dr Milroy. 265lbs Title Fight - Jack Potatos vs Kristow Zedski
Current Geezers heavyweight champion Jack Potatos will be looking to impressively step back into the winning column as he takes on Kristow "The Jetski" Zedski who is coming fresh off a 5 second knockout victory and is riding a crazy wave of momentum. These fighters have already clashed once before, with Potatos drawing first blood and notching a stoppage victory. Jetski comes into the rematch with a potent ground game he has possessed for quite some time. He has fallen in love with the striking game and has often put his ground skills in his back pocket while enjoying his success with his bungalows. Potatos has proven once before that standing with him is a highly dangerous decision. Although the wrestling skills of the Jetski are simply phenominal, taking down and having your way with a goliath like Potatos is easier said than done. I think Zedski's best chances are closing the distance and trying at all costs to employ a ground strategy. I predict the Jetski will get consumed once again by the wave that is Jack Potatos. He will win via TKO in round 1 after feeling out and neutralizing the wrestling assault.
185lbs - Tom Jones vs Wade Wilson

The 155 lbs title is on the line here folks..and Allan looks like he has a good chance to retain his title..With almost perfect boxing and MT both fighters look equally good in the striking game..Allan has superior wrestling and Bjj which gives him an advantage on the ground..Gein will look to keep the fight on h cont...
