Welcome everyone to our CCoR: Edward vs. Johnson II Review! Last night, we witnessed a plethora of knockouts which was unbelievable if you had the chance to watch LIVE! The Light-heavy weight champion Ryan Edward defended his belt again a super tough & game, Calvin Johnson! This card from top to bottom was provided plenty of entertainment for our fans! Let’s break down what happened!

In our main event, the light-heavyweight title was on the line as champion Ryan Edward took on the always tough, Calvin Johnson for the seconds time! From the opening bell, Edward controlled the pace of the fight, cut off angles & patiently mixed up his striking almost landing at will. He opened up a cut early which you can see was bothersome to his opponent. Calvin scored points of his own throwing numerous leg kicks hoping to slow the champion down but it was to little avail. Ryan just had too much momentum & eventually finished the fight with a brutal left hand just before the end of the 1st! Masterful performance by the champion! We’ll see what’s next for him & if he can keep his streak going!

In our co-main event, light-heavyweights, Leonard Washington & Matt Tolbowl went to battle! In the first, it seemed that Matt had control of the fight getting a nice takedown in the beginning where he felt he had an advantage. Eventually it was Leonard who was able to get the upper hand once he got settled in. He was able to get the sweep into mount & from there laid down a beating on Matt & controlled until the latter part of the round. In the seconds round, you could see the dismay on Matt’s face & the motivated look on Leonards’ as they marched toward the center of the cage. Leonard wasted little time dispatching of Matt with nice technical boxing & finishing with a beautiful combination that knocked Matt out! We were quite nervous watching this unfold but Matt was up & uninjured thankfully.

In our heavyweight division, Bull Dog took on Todd Neids. I was excited to see Todd return to PPV after his loss to current title holder, John Bourne. He looked very good this time out against tough vet Bull Dog. These men fight on 2 different sides of the spectrum when it comes to the division. Bull Dog is one our biggest men while Todd is on of the smaller ones. He could probably fight at 205 if he dropped the weight. Anyhow, this fight turned into a battle in the clinch. It’s always interesting to see who will control the clinch when you’re talking about big guy vs. small guy. Surprisingly, the smaller man controlled this fight. This guy is like CCoR’s Randy Couture! To the casual fan, the fight may not have been very action packed, but to the educated fan, it’s was quite a chess match. In the end Todd did his thing, & wore the big man out with his constant pressure which allowed him to take the UD. Todd looking to build his win streak & challenge for the title again hopefully.

UNDERCARD RESULTS!

Alfonso Lopez Def. Mr Small via TKO Rnd 1
Alberto Lopez Def. Spar Wrestling via TKO Rnd 1
Albert Hitchenfrog Def. Conor O’Mally via UD
Buer Eremiel Def. Franz Bechenbauer via TKO Rnd 1
Marcelo Alves Def. Larry Monthan via TKO Rnd 3
Sentinel Prime Def. Tony Hunt via UD
