Heavyweight Prize Fighting as always is back this Saturday night for yet another exciting event set for 10 fights. Yet another dime dropped on the event poster if you haven’t seen it, its worth more than one look. As I catch my breath, I would love to get into the main event preview but first we will get the opportunity to enjoy some great main card fights.

Ales Zhandunka is a Sensational boxer that reminds me of the ideal sprawl and brawl Chuck Liddel type of fighter. He has been able to pull out 26 victories and 21 knockouts, the 38 year old is now fighting for cookies and pie as his best years have passed him up he is all but finished in the cage. This monstrous man steps into the cage at 291lbs and usually looks at his opponent as if they are a breakfast burrito around noon after waking up from a hangover. Before he attempts to eat his brunch, he will have to taste the fact that his foe is no pushover. Adin Wrenton has put together the exact same amount of victories and only 3 less KO’s. I expect this to be an all out war in the cage and whoever loses the least blood and has the most guts will win. With Wrenton frustrated about his last loss to Asshole Gracie and Zhandunka coming off of 3 straight wins, I think this is the perfect time and place for this event.

Marky Mark has gotten Daouda Kaho prepared mentally and physically for his upcoming fight against Barry Fulcher. Kaho weighs in at 260lbs and holds about a 40lb weight advantage in this fight. Unfortunately for him I think that may be as far as his advantages go in this one. This brownbelt Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner would love to get the fight to the ground but unfortunately for him, even with his weight heavily laid on Barry Fulcher, I don’t know if he will be able to get him down. Fulcher is slightly better at wrestling and will do whatever he can to keep the fight at the standup. This decision for Fulcher is correctly made as he has plenty of knockout power and kaho has been finished in that method 8 of his 11 losses. Fulcher was knocked out by Cro Copout in a disgusting manner his last time out and we would love to see if he has a punch hangover from the way his cranium was POPPED with extreme hatred from Copout’s fists. It will be very interesting if Kaho gets this fight to the ground somehow, look for an exciting finish here.

Ruiner Barnett will look to “Ruin” the debut of Jean Pascal St Dupuis here at HWP. This is one of our signature fights that we love to offer where you will have David vs Goliath. With Barnett at 280lbs and Jean Pascal sitting at 158lbs, this will be a fight where managers and fight teams must be on their “A” game. Barnett obviously will have to do something about the speed and quickness that Pascal will bring to the table and likewise, Pascal will have to do whatever he possibly can to avoid the heavy strikes Barnett brings. Although he lost his last fight by decision against Jeremy Jackson, I believe this will be a good fight for him to bounce back on, unless… Pascal comes out with a “new-hwp native” chip on his shoulder and throws everything but the kitchen sink at Barnett. Looking at his career he literally does have an entire kitchen sink to throw as he has done just about any and everything in the ring, if he overwhelms Barnett with diversity and quickness, this might be a long fight.

The 7-1 monster from my hometown, Tampa Bert “The Machine” Kreisher will take on Jermaine Johnson in a traditional heavyweight bout set for 3 rounds. The Machine, at age 24 has spent his entire career in HWP, although it has only been 8 fights, he has impressed in all of them, including his loss. This true ground fighter has only went into the second round twice and one of those was his loss so obviously Johnson will look to defend himself against the barrage of takedown attempts and ground attacks early and will hope he can wear the body of kreisher down as the fight barrels on. Big Black Johnson, despite being 28 has only 7 fights to his career and is only one win over the 50/50 threshold. Don’t let that fact lead you to believe that Johnson is a poor fighter, he has shown great boxing and decent Muay Thai skills and if he catches Kreisher slipping he has the Knockout power to put him down. This will be a tough fight for both fighters as each of them have a distinct advantage over each other. I think I will be pulling for the home team on this one though.

Remember all managers, readers and fighters can take their emotions to the bank and place bets up to 1K on all of these fights. Also we want to thank the matchmakers for their hard work and HWP for his dedication to this organization. Thank you all and TO ALL ENJOY!
