Welcome to the Extreme Prefight Show with your favourite MMA Analyst Ryuuma Oshida Tonight We’ll be previewing Extreme MMA-8. We have a formidable line up tonight, including 2 title fights in 185lb and 205lb classes, so without further ado let’s check ‘em out

Fight 1 Garver vs. Gynowski

Two Skilled and evenly matched fighter come together in our first fight, Gynowski lost in his debut bout after being dominated by Karl Hungus. Garver, who was the next to fight Hungus, did not show up to the bout maybe he saw how Hungus handled it and got scared. Garver is yet to live up to the skillset he possesses. I’m giving it to Garver his extra ten pounds in this weight class might just give him the extra power. Garver by TKO

Fight 2 Conway vs. Jones

Jones got destroyed in his last bout and he could be in trouble again coming up against a fantastic boxer, Conway. Conway is in his debut fight and his striking ability puts him in a great position to take a win against Jones who has shown an inability to defend striking. Conway for a Debut win by KO

Fight 3 Holmes vs. Etherton

Etherton is hoping for his second win in 13 attempts. This might be a good chance for him against the first time pro fighter Holmes. Etherton has the skillset to take this win but his record shows that the only reason he is still getting contracts is that he fights in 135lb. Holmes lacks experience but if his coaches give him good advice he could make this a W. Holmes by Decision

Fight 4 Shultz vs. Dustup

From the 135lb we step up to the big boys in Open Weight 265+. The young Canadian Shultz versus the 29 year old Australian Dustup. This fight could be a trap for Dustup after dropping his last four fights by KO and TKO and coming in against Shultz who finish his last fight by KO in 30 seconds. If Dustup wants the win he’ll have to avoid that big fist of Shultz otherwise it’ll all be over quickly. Shultz by TKO

Fight 5 Gaarlandt vs. Lannister (Rematch II)

A fight for the BJJ purists at number 5, between two brown belts with 14 Sub wins between them. This rematch sees Gaarlandt who remains undefeated in EMMA bouts against Lannister whom he submitted with a second round Arm bar. Lannister has the skills to trouble Gaarlandt and was in the fight for the first round of their last bout. If Lannister has taken the lessons from the first fight on board he could cause an upset. Gaarlandt by Sub

Fight 6 Supercal vs. Long

Supercal lost a heartbreaker to Damtea in his first title defence and he’ll need to go through Long if he wants another shot at the title. Long had his own shot at the Belt against Mui in EMMA-5 but was dropped with a massive head kick in the first round, he’ll want to put on a better display against Supercal who is an extremely dangerous striker, But Long has the experience to learn from that fight. Supercal doesn’t have the experience of Long and that could prove to be the difference. Long by TKO

Fight 7 Damtea vs. Mui (265lb Title Fight)

Two devastating strikers come together in this title fight. Mui will be like his chances after making short work of his last two opponents, both of whom were well respected fighters. Damtea has the better boxing ability but will have to watch out for that destructive head kick from Mui. This is shaping up to be one of the fights of the year. I’m going with Mui he is in superb form. Mui by TKO

Fight 8 Seven vs. Foley

Seven and Foley are both well rounded fighters who are looking to make improvements to their form as both have only two wins from their last five fights. Foley has been tucked away in training since EMMA 1 where he dominated Zalomov in 36 seconds. Seven on the other hand dropped his last fight just seconds from the end of the second round. Both fighters will want to put their careers back on track and will be motivated for the win. Foley by TKO

And now, brought to you by Bet-X Independent Betting, The Bet-X Main Cards

Fight 9 Cosme vs. Potz

Both fighters lost their last fights in the first round, Cosme by TKO and Potz by Submission. Cosme’s form has been up and down lately, while Potz is on a 2 loss slide. But obviously the guys at EMMA have faith in their ability, to have put them on the main card. At 36 years of age Cosme is coming to the end of his career and will need to win this fight for another legitimate shot at a title. He will have trouble against Potz who can match him everywhere except the ground game. Cosme for one more win by Sub

Fight 10 Chomsky vs. Mace (185lb Title Fight)

Mace should thank his lucky stars that he is getting this title shot, at 31 years of age he doesn’t have many shots left if he loses this fight. Chomsky has proven he can win standing or on the ground and even outlast for a decision win, it is this all round ability that will make it almost impossible for Mace to win this fight. Mace is past his prime the only thing he has going for him is that big right hand but he’ll need more than that once he steps into the ring against the multi threat fighter Chomsky. It’s not a lock but it’s hard to see Mace walking out of this one. Chomsky by TKO

EMMA-8 is one of the best fight Line-ups in EMMA History don’t miss it, cancel everything and tune in for this one. This has been Ryuuma Oshida and the Extreme Prefight Show. I’ll see you for the Next EMMA event.
