Forbidden Violence #12: Leave it in the Cage Preview and Insider!

Good day and good evening to all of you loyal followers of the Forbidden Violence previews, where you can get the scoop on who is fighting, where, and what you can expect to keep you glued to your TV screen until the final bell. This one is a bit ahead, with the event happening on March 22nd, of this 2014 year. As it gets closer and closer to judgement day, you can expect some solid athletes in that cage. They are all working hard for our viewers, for their camps and for their organization, relying on their contracts to pay for their next meal. So, lets get right to it! Today we are featuring the top five fights of the evening, headlined by 185 pounders Kermit Earlandson and Abel Speed in the main event. Right before them, setting up the crowd for the main course, is the 205lb title match between Jethro Savage and Jermaine Barksdale. But, let us start with the rest of the main card first!

Main Card Bout 1 : Middleweight 185lbs Match-up - The Steel Penn Alliance vs Eliod "Scooter" Bunkley lii

To start with the main fights, is these two. "Scooter" is coming into this fight with a record of 15 - 14, previously being a staple in the HERO organization, he has transferred over to Forbidden Violence to expand his competition. The 27 year-old out of the USA is looking to defend his home turf in Las Vegas. Most of his losses have come from TKOs and Decisions, leading us to believe he cannot finish a fight or hang in there in the end. His stand-up game is under-rated but still respected in FV, with an excellent wrestling background. Even though he is a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu, 8 out of his 15 wins were submission finishes. He must be sneaky in how he applies them, catching opponents off-guard. He will need to get this fight on the ground, pulling off a flash of brillance with a reversal into a submission. Training out of the Miletich Xtreme Fighting Systems gym, they are the best in giving their warriors a fighting chance.

Going against him is The Steel Penn Alliance, a fighter from Ghana who is flying from Hilo for this event.  Being only 23 years old, you would think this is his first organization. Forbidden Violence is his fifth one, debuting tonight with a record of 5 - 6. Having gained Submission of the Night and KO of the Night awards before, he is a double threat. Penn can use his black-belt in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu to dominate on the ground, or manhandle his opponents with a striking skill set not seen in a while. Coming out of the little-known Training Gym, Penn can definitely raise their reputation with a win here.

Being aggressive and on the move will be his best bet, taking advantage of his all-around versatility will secure a KO or Submission before the third round.

Main Card Bout 2 : Welterweight 170lbs Match-up - Mikio "Flame666" Okita vs "Imperator" Caeser Augustus.

A thirty-seven year old veteran from Okinawa, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikio Okita has the experience advantage here. Previously ranked #1 in the weightclass, he is working hard and plowing through the organization to gain that recognition back. 2 - 1 record in FV and with a 35 - 22 record overall, he has beaten Caeser Augustus before by TKO. The memory of the beating has not faded from the Italian's mind, but neither has the gameplan from Okita's. Be sure to see his expert Muay Thai clinch game and Jiu-Jiutsu at display. A dominating performance in the clinch or on the floor is to be expected here. Fighting out of the Ballas Only Gym, they got him covered with the best training in the Las Vegas area.

Only about four years younger is his opponent, "Imperator" Caeser Augustus. A native of Italy and fighting out of Las Vegas, he comes into this FV event with a 0 - 2 record in the organization. 14 - 10 overall with 9 of his finishes coming via Submission, he is willing to use his Red Belt in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu without hesistation. Equally as strong as Okita in Muay Thai, it will be an interesting match up between the two. Experience on Okita's side, Caeser's athleticism should prove useful as Father Time has been kinder to the Imperator. Losing his last two matches by TKO and Decision, a turnaround in his luck will be most appreciated. His camp, 11th Planet Fitness, are ready to help him do just that.

KO by Okita in the third round.

Main Card Bout 3 : Heavyweight 205lbs Match-up - "IronMan" Kelvin Garnet vs Jamalski Ramirezovic

The last match before the two main events, this is a veteran vs a youngster. Kelvin Garnett is currently 41 years old, coming in to the fight with a record of 31 - 20. With most of those wins coming from a TKO or KO, he is ready to rack up another statistic. Winning 4 of his last five matches by Unanimous Decision, his experience has enabled him to gain points while minimizing his opponents, skillfully controlling the pace of the match. An all-rounder with his stand-up, he can clinch, he can punch or kick, and definitely knows how to throw his weight around with wrestling. Flying out of London to fight, he is not coming all the way out to Vegas to lose. Look for him to keep the fight standing, close and personal.

His opponent, a native of France fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamalski is 29 with a record of 20 - 21. Mainly a striker who can use his wrestling to keep the fight standing, Jamal is looking for the KO of the night, having it awarded to him six times in his career. With eight Fight of the Night honors, we are looking for him to bring it home. Having just lost against Jethro Savage, the current Heavyweight champion, a win here will begin the road back to contention. Coming from GAMMA, he has been around some top competition. His experience will valuable here, looking to knock down the old man a size.

The Blacksmith Megagym is looking for a victory here tonight for their gym by either KO or submission by the second round.

Title Co-Main Event : Heavyweight 205lbs Match-up  - Jethro Savage © vs Jermaine "The Juggernaut" Barksdale

Just coming off a successful title takeover, Jethro Savage is not willing to let go of the belt yet. Having successful runs in the UPG and UFC fighting organizations, his skills followed him into Forbidden Violence. The englishman out of Helinski is flying out with a 20 - 9 record coming into this match, Jet is going to be a tough cookie to crack. With dangerous elbows, sneaky submissions and an all-round skill set that can adapt to any situation in the ring, Jermaine will have to find a way to tackle this challenge. Most of his losses were by TKO, albiet there is not too much to worry. He can take a couple hits as well as deal it back, with late round finishes catching his enemies by surprise. Look for his camp, Personal Training Gym, to lead him to the promised lands.

"The Juggernaut" is looking for the title, bulldozing through the previous champion in his last fight to gain the right. It will be his first time competing for a title. A 12 - 5 record may look like he is inexperienced, but his skills don't show that. An elite with all of the basics of MMA, Jermaine is focused on taking hold of the chance of a life-time. A resident of Las Vegas, he is looking to keep the belt here and not letting it get back on a plane without it around his waist. Being thirty compared to Jet's 33, they both are winding in their careers, a year or two left in primetime. The chance to push themselves into superstardom is now, with neither hesitating to take big risks. The BLKOUT Training Center will not let him down, giving him the best tools to arm himself towards a decisive victory.

Jet defends his title in the fourth round with a comeback submission.

Main Event : Middleweight Match-up - Kermit "The Frog" Earlandson vs Abel "Amazin" Speed

A classic striker vs grappler battle here folks. Kermit is a native to Kosova, fighting out of Las Vegas. He must of had a phenemonal Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu teacher, as his 16 - 17 record was completed with a straight 16 submissions. 8 of those 17 losses have from submissions which Abel isn't proficient remarkable at, so that will be on the 26 year-old's side. Favoring arm triangles, triangle chokes in general, he has no plans letting go once he catches his prey. The ground-game will be the world of  "The Frog", dominating in Bushido and WCF before appearing in FV. He shall not disappoint, nor will his camp Miletech Xtreme Fighting Systems, training him down to the seconds before the weigh-ins.

A veteran of the sport, "Amazin" definitely has a record worthy of the adjective, 21- 8. A native of Brooklyn but flying out from Hilo to meet up against Kermit, he is a striker at heart. Very good defensive abilities, he is rarely taken to the ground as he has never been submitted before in his career. Folks, Kermit might hand him his first one. Very dangerous clinch game and quick hand-speed from boxing, a KO finish is the only suitable finish for this bad boy. His experience of being a previous champion will be the deciding factor, knowing what it takes to defend his title three consectutive times before being let off due to the end of his contract.

A submission by Kermit in the third round is what we are predicting.
